Hello All,

I am just working on Idiot Diets - Diet UK - slimming diet - diets that work - This is the best place to find great diet information and doing my optin box, it is a boring one oen how do I make it a bit better?

I am looking at awebers site but I must have my blinkers on cos I cant see it!

Also when I preview the box the submit is centered but when it appears on the site it is on the left!

I feel like a newbie again!!

Danny

I always have trouble getting the Aweber boxes to look like I want. I have learned this, you'll almost HAVE TO use the html and not javascript, at least if you want to tweak it. You can use a background image in the table to spice it up. You can move the tracking pixel down the page, since sometimes it will mess with the alignment.

But once done and tweak, they look good.

Danny, study CSS on how to make your text fields and buttons stand out and the table borders.. heaps of resources out there.

OK a bit of an update I managed to get what i wanted just about... not perfect but near enough!

Idiot Diets - Diet UK - slimming diet - diets that work - This is the best place to find great diet information

The only thing I could not get done is centering up the submit (i think my css on my theme is doing it!)

    Thanks for the tips!

You could place the submit outside the table. If it's still not centered, place it in a <div style="text-align:center;margin:0 auto">YOUR BUTTON</div>

By the way, it's always a good idea to use the HTML instead of the Javascript code from Aweber. The latter gets blocked by many AdBlock plug-ins.

        Hello Marc

I am using teh lightbox from aweber and it recons that its unblockable... and they only do that code in Java! So am I wrong?

        Cheers

        Danny

PS I use Dreamweaver CS4 for CSS works well enough

          Hi Danny,

My comments were about the inline opt-in on your website, not the pop-up.

For the inline opt-in I would always use the HTML code (as you do). I experienced this myself with one of my websites where the Javascript from Aweber was blocked by AdBlock Plus... the cover picture for the free report was there, but no fields for name, email, no submit button, etc.

The pop-up, I think, is more or less unblockable.
