Let me illustrate a couple more great points about marketing with YouTube. Earlier today, I created a quick video and put it on YouTube. I did this as an experiment, just to show you how easy all this is. I wanted to see if I could get some traffic for the keyword “internet marketing,” and so I brainstormed as to how I could create something quick and easy, yet provide some valuable info in the video. Then I thought, “Why not tell others about the Warrior Forum?” It’s such a great resource. Anyone new to internet marketing who might be cruising YouTube for some info and they would see my video and I could show you guys how easy it is to get traffic. So here is the video I posted on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpDPeN1LbUw Here were my goals for this video: 1. To get ranked on a good keyword. 2. To give something of value to the viewer. 3. To demonstrate my credibility. 4. To eventually get ranked in natural search rankings for the term “internet marketing” or other good keywords. (Long-term goal.) And that’s exactly how easy the process is. That little video took me all of 15 minutes to produce. Sure, if you’re doing this for the first time, it might take you two or three times as long, but after you do a few, you’ll see how super-easy this can be. And don’t forget – the traffic you’ll get with simple videos like this is immediate and FREE. No pay-per-click fees, no per-impression banner cost, nada. The other nice thing about creating such easy videos with Camtasia or ScreenFlow is that you don’t have to “get ready” for being on camera. No shampoo needed! Just grab a few images, drag them into your video, type some pertinent titles, and you’re good to go. It’s VERY easy to get good traffic using a system like this. Now this is only part of my system, but it’s basically “the front door,” and I wanted to show you how easy it is. By the way, if you’re looking at the number of views this video got, keep in mind that YouTube (for some strange reason) will only count up to about 300 views the very first day you post your video. It will catch up to your accurate numbers the next day, but I just wanted to point that out so that you don’t get discouraged if you only see 300 or less views on the first day. |

I use Animoto and it's good but expensive so I bought Incansoft's (Big Mike's) GFX Video Writer (which does something similar to Article Video Robot) and VideoBot (which submits videos to tons of sites). VideoBot hasn't been released yet but will be shortly. Here's the link to GFX Video Writer and the rest of Incansoft's software: Incansoft | Experience The Difference Today! (not an affiliate link) |

I just saw a remarkable statistic that backs up everything in this thread . . . Did you know that video search on YouTube accounts for a quarter of all Google search queries in the U.S.? Twenty five percent!!! And it costs nothing to get your message up there, without quality score nightmares, pay per click fees and other headaches. That statistic, by the way, is a year old. I'll bet the percentage is even higher now. |

This may be simple, but one thing that I see in addition to the keyword issue is not using the description area to the fullest. You can include a hyperlink in the beginning that will be "live". EXAMPLE: (view this in YouTube itself to see the "description" area and live link) YouTube - Twin Cities Animal Hospital - EXAMPLE - Woodbury, Minnesota This is a DEMO video I did for a vet, no affiliate link or anything... Just a thought... -she |

Here's another tip for video marketing on YouTube that I haven't seen mentioned here yet: When you are writing the description of your video make sure to include the full address of your website (ex. http://www.mywebsite.com). When it's posted, this will automatically generate a link to your website. Then video watchers don't have to type your website address into their browser, they can just click the link. For example I usually put at the end of my video descriptions: Video courtesy of http://www.mywebsite.com |

Do you edit your own videos? I do have camtasia but I never really used it. I actually thought it was a bit too hard for me to use. I might hire someone to edit it for me or maybe learn just for the fun of it. What do you say? If you have an editor, can you recommend your editor? You think it'll be easy to learn? And another question... When you do keyword research do you do regular keyword research or are youtube video keywords any different? I know there are different keyword searches you can do on youtube but iw asnt sure if you meant that or the google keyword search tool. Btw, your post was very helpful. Thanks, Chris |

Just wanted to post here to let others know who are reading this that there are a lot of marketers out there who are also using video refreasher programs that automatically refreash a page making their video count go up and in turn making their videos rank higher in the You Tube search results and eventually get their videos ranked well in google organic. Also some marketers are developing their own in house proprietary refreasher applications for the "ninja trick" Frank Bruno |

| tgilberg - Do you post your videos on other video sites? I have heard some people do this and I wondered if it was really worth it as YouTube is owned by Google and would really be the best one for traffic.

Great post! I've followed Tim's advice and publish on YouTube some quick videos I've made. The result was killer: 460 views in 3 days. It's really working this awesome technique. I used Screenflow and it was so easy to drag&drop some images and syncronize them with my voice. This is indeed the fastest marketing technique to promote products and it's FREE... Keep up with the great tips, I'm eager to learn more about this |

The biggest mistake I see in video marketing period are that people do not make enough videos and do not do good keyword research. That is usually the two biggest mistakes I see anyways. It is kind of like article marketing. People do not write enough articles and do not do good keyword research. So it is simple, use Google keyword tool and make sure your search is for the exact phrase. Do not do a broad search. Second, make a lot of videos. You have to write a lot of articles in article marketing and you need to make a lot of videos in video marketing. Do not just make 10 videos and wonder why it is not working. It really is that simple. |

Hey everybody Tim here, Wanted to give you an update, I am going through some of the videos people posted in this thread asking for critiques and should have some ideas & tips up in a few days, which I will post here. Now I am asking your help on this one. I posted a new thread on the warrior forum last night detailing how one of my niches generated over 20k in sales for me this weekend. I also posted in that thread a video in which I logged into my Paypal & merchant accounts to show proof. (No personal data was shown in the video) The thread was deleted, I am confused any ideas? Thanks Tim |

Tim, I saw the thread before it was deleted. Maybe it got deleted because it sounded too self-promotional. You may not have meant it that way, but it almost sounded like a pre-launch for a wso. Debbie |

Can't say, Tim. I've seen people complain before that some threads get deleted while similar threads by others stay put. I don't really know the reason. It was just an observation, not a fact. Debbie |

Tim, Would love to see your post that got deleted. Maybe you could put it somewhere and put a link to it or give it as a free WSO case study. Ron Quote:

The main reason a thread disappears is because the number of members who flag it for moderation exceeds a certain threshold. Since the main forum sees a lot more traffic than the subject-specific forums, it's a lot easier to accumulate those flags. Just a guess...

I agree with Ron, Tim. Why not repost it on your blog? Also, on the matter of refreshing the YouTube page to increase views...it doesn't work. At least it didn't for me. Tiffany Dow just released a brand new video...I was the third viewer. I hit refresh a few times, but the counter stayed at three. Unless these guys are switching proxies and clearing cookies with every refresh, I don't buy it. Google is smart enough to eliminate fraudulent clicks from Adsense, so I think they're smart enough to limit page views to just one browser session, or even calendar day. |

Great idea guys, I will repost the deleted thread 'What Recession? I Made $20,000 in 4 Days with Short YouTube Videos (proof enclosed)' and video to my Blog tomorrow. What gets me sometimes is people try to employ all these tips & tricks to try & bolster video views in my opinion why waste your time on those gimmicks. If you employ solid keyword research and plant the seeds with Youtube videos you don't have to worry about getting caught in the latest scam. As we all know Google will catch and close the loopholes, they are very good at that.(SLAP LOL) Why build your business on quicksand? Tim |

My experience parallels all the stats regarding YouTube's domination of the video sharing market. I have uploaded videos to all the major players, but the traffic & sales generated from non YouTube video sharing sites is negligible. It certainly cannot hurt to load your videos to these sites as well and there are several partially free upload services such as TubeMogul. I focus all my energy on YouTube, creating and loading quality videos with the proper keyword research. Tim
