A social bookmarking site is where you post a link to something you found that was interesting to share it to other people.

A web 2.0 site includes things such as Facebook, Myspace, Squidoo, Weebly, Hubpages, Scribd.

Sites where the users can be interactive with the interface... if that makes sense.

A socialbookmarking site is considered a web 2.0 network. In layman terms, a web 2.0 site is just a network that allows users to interact with each other. A forum or blog could technically be considered a web 2.0 site. Generally, a web 2.0 site uses a combination of modern technology to achieve this effect such as xhtml, css, ajax, php, and mysql. An example of a site that is NOT considered web 2.0 is a static xhtml or html site. Read this wikipedia entry for more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0

Absolutely,
The web 2.0 includes blogs, wikis, RSS and social bookmarking sites, also you will find greater collaboration/interaction among Internet users and other users, content providers, and enterprises.

There is no difference really but some social bookmarking sites do not have very much social media functions...

Yeah I don't think there is much difference between the two. Just that some of them give you more chances of interaction with the other members.

Social bookmarking site means sites where you share urls that you think are interesting enough for other people to see and connect and get interested in them. Web 2.0 site means basically user generated content site. That includes sites that allow creation of free blogs, free wikis and free websites. Example: tumblr, posterous, wix.com, blogs.com, blogspot, wetpaint, weebly, etc.

I think a wed 2.0 site is a site about second marriages.

But, seriously, social bookmarking is a subset of web 2.0. Web 2.0 is essentially the ability to offer visitor interaction to some degree.
