Hey there, just a quick question about adords keyword tool and freekeywords wordtracker. I did a search in the first and the results came back as four five thousand searches, i then did the same search using the same keyword in wordtracker and the result came back completely different i.e. much much lower. The question really is which one is most accurate.
Thanks Gio

This questions comes up all of the time.
There was a new thread on it on 10/30 here is the link... Whose Search Numbers Do I Trust? If you search the form you will find a lot of opinions on the topic. My response was... I've used... Wordtracker Traffice Travis Nichebot Keyword Discovery Theme Zoom and many many more and guess what? None of them are the same. If you pick longtails you'll be fine. |

The bottom line is..neither. Most keyword tools pull their data from google and apply their own algorithm to it to generate what they think is the most accurate results bases on thier own algo. The fact is though that the data you are looking at with the free google keyword tool is already running on a delayed timeline and is not accurate either. If you were to run an adwords campaign you would see what I mean. Their is a great disparity between the impressions you get back from adwords and what you are getting from any keyword tool and the data from adwords is real time (more or less). For most purposes pick one tool and stick with it, or you will go nuts. Different tools generate different results and I've seen people waste days trying to make their minds up over one keyword.
