Good idea! Will tell the customer and see what he wants to do.

Cool looking site...I am just curious, what did you charge your client?

I liked the other one better...

You still need to rework your copy.

I like the other one better, client is having "website paralysis" I left the green template as well as the red for WP. The green one will beat the red one hands down when I show him split testing.

    about your website copy.

This is a niche I've been involved
    in before.

Now first, your font used at the
top of the page, it's very difficult
to read, that doesn't give off a
great first impression if I have
trouble as a visitor even reading
what exactly it is, that this site
    is all about.

    It is your customers motorcycle
    customization skills that you want
to draw attention to, there is no
need for you to go over the top
to prove your point that you are
a great web designer, using a
    font which is hardly decipherable.

Will this at the end of the day
    help your customers business or
    not, that is the question.

What does that say about your
    understanding of design principles
    per se?

    Will that near unreadable font
give off a great impression to the
    website visitors or a negative
    impression?

If a visitor cannot read that
'instantly' and has to squint to
read it, how long are they really
going to stay on his / her website?

You want to do everything possible
to keep the visitor on the website
for as long as possible. That font
used will drive a good number away
    very quickly indeed, without even
    reading about your customers core
    service.

Do you want them to stay and read
on or do you want them to click out
    very quickly?

The font design is not the selling
point, his / her specialization, his /
her area of expertise is customizing
    motorcycles.

That would be my impression as a
customer on the receiving end of
having this site design sent to me
    by a designer.

I would think this is a guy who
does not understand the very core
    marketing potential of my website
and why I want to use it as a
    vehicle for acquiring more customers
to my business. This guy is simply
trying to stamp his own design skills
onto my site design, trying to make it
look cool, drawing attention to himself
    rather than understanding my true
purpose for wanting this website and
    my personal needs.

What is cool in your view from a website
designers point of view and what will
ultimately be best for your client are
    two completely separate things.

First point over, lets move into the
    web copy on the homepage.

    This has been constructed, whacked
together very quickly indeed. I can
see that instantly. It can be tightened
up a great deal. At the moment it
    doesn't really connect with the
    intended market audience....it's very
    weak.

Tune it up, this web copy and it will
be a great deal more effective for
your customer, it can read a lot more
    powerfully than this.

    Put yourself into your customers
shoes when writing web copy and
    understand most importantly the
    target audience and talk their
    language.

    I hope that helps.

    Best regards.

    Mark Andrews...
Mark, you are correct on EVERYTHING. Sometimes a customer has to be humored until he sees that it is all about ranking on google and getting new customers.

You have no clue how many cool headers were there while the client keeps asking me to change it oven and over. The client likes that font.... until he sees that it is driving people away.

Over to the content, client is rewriting it as I know nothing about bikes
