Default Stomernet bonuses? Have you received them?

Hi Guys,

Like many who ordered the Stompernet promotion and upsells (I purchased all the upsells recently I am less than impressed with
their fulfillment.

3 weeks and nothing for me. Who knows maybe I will be billed
for the second month before even receiving the first.

At any rate... what bothers me is that they promised to send
out an email with bonus info from all those nifty partner bonuses
that were offered and promised that those of us who purchased
early would get them that way too.

I have not received any such email... I just sent them a second
email for support (the first one must have gone to an inbox that is ignored) but I am wondering...

How many of you got the email with the info for the bonuses? If you
have some info that may help me send me a PM.

One of the many reason's I am thankful that I do not participate in huge launches... no matter how great the product is I would rather wait until all the hubub is over so that my clients can place an order at a time when fulfillment is fast and a companies resources are not spread so thin.

Thanks,

Josh

Josh, I was just going to ask you that question "Why don't you get on all
the big launches?

Is it something personal you might not want to talk about here but or
is it just the idea of a product launch you don't like...

I know you are good friends with most but you never promote their launches I'm on your list and I never get any thing, just mostly your products.

I was actually talking to a few friends about this whole thing. Seems like they will not ship anything for a month so they could bill you for the next month of their magazine... hmmm, so far the whole deal seams a little shady. Amazing how easy it is to lose your reputation...

There is some good stuff in the bonuses, no question.

The downside is that you have another bunch of mailing list you have to decide if you want to be on. To get each bonus you have to sign up to a separate list.

I spent time recently paring down my subscriptions. Looks like I'm going to have to do it again.

Yeah I got the bonus email too. I think they actually made a post on their blog in regards to that email. I know they've set up a special password protected page.

I just got newsletter on friday. That was a long wait. I am surprised at the way they are handling this entire launch.

There is nothing worse that getting your new customers pissed off by not sending out the package right away after you make a big deal about having enough packages run so people won't have to wait.

And if they were getting delayed, they should have posted a pdf of the their newsletter online so people could read it in advance.

The way I see it, they have received a lot of subscribers during the launch, and maybe they had issues and they had to catch up. It's understandable to a business person.

But ultimately, what matters is how your customers perceives your customer support, your business, etc. Everything else (from Stompernet's perspective) doesn't matter.

My client base is filled with professionals from outside the IM market a much different demographic than your newbie crowd which most IM products target. Therefore I must be much more careful with what and how I promote.

Also my client base is largely webmasters, small and large business owners, small to large production companies, producers, and new media types, as well as many of the gurus in IM.

They do not respond well to most IM offers because they are skeptical of hype and most IM products are simply not targeted toward my market or the quality of the product is just not up to par.

My product line is mostly multimedia, affiliate management, and ecommerce automation so that in general is what my client base expects me to mail about and responds the best to.

There are very few great quality products marketed in IM these days and I am pretty picky... it's got to be good and polished and if not it has to be superior technology with a unique application and outstanding customer support with a high level of experience for me to recommend it.

The company needs to have some previous experience in my market or at least a proven track record of satisfied customers and customer support.

Then there is the issue Stomper is having... high volume and obviously underestimated resource needs for fulfillment or delivery delays.

Even the most respected companies can get dinged in client satisfaction if they sell recurring subscriptions and then wait until the end of the first month to deliver...

You may not realize it but my last two emails were promoting a partner's product where we teamed up but through my distribution system. I work like that quite a bit as well ;-)

if you get charged for the second month without receiving the package, just call your credit card company and do a charge back

there is nothing that gets a merchants attention than a charge back since the bank also hits them with a fee.

of course all this could be avoided if Stomper delivered...
so far I would say they made a lot of money... and burned a lot of people, not a good recipe for a sustainable biz

I bought the product and have been waiting for it. I got the bonus email as promised, but was VERY Un-Impressed that the main product was not at my door when I got back to my office from Vacation.

At the same time, I ordered Jeff Mills Outsourcing Secrets Revealed and got it within days. I got an email when it was shipped.

Guess I'll just have more time to review other materials I have that are waiting for me to review them.

Yes, it's all part of their master plan. First they deliberately wasted people's time by screwing up the launch to make people want it even more, because nothing makes you want to become a customer more than having your time wasted. Then they purposely delayed shipping so that people will pay their second month before they even get the first package in the hope that it encourages folks to stay for a third or fourth month, because nothing makes a person want to keep giving you money more than making them worry that they have been ripped off. Yep, a sound strategy if I ever heard one.

I guess I slipped under the radar then, because I have already received my package.

Josh, I still haven't received my package, but I did receive the bonus email on the 15th, and then another a day or two later. Let me know if you still need the link to the bonuses page.

I also signed up and haven't seen hide nor hair of either emails, bonus pages or packages in the mail. Shipping to Europe takes a bit more time - took a while for Filsaime's newsletter to make their way to me so I'm not too concerned about that bit, but I do wonder about the lack of bonus email - especially since I went for a couple of the upsells along the way.

But shipping in Idaho doesn't unless it's coming from Europe.

For anyone who might be interested in how they can do large volume and possibly avoid these type of delays:

Amazon Business Solutions - Fulfillment by Amazon - An Amazon Fulfillment Services Group

Also we integrated into our automation system automated on demand printing from Vervante.com which can do books, cds, dvds and combo packs.

This helps keep you from having to deal with the difficulty in doing fulfillment in house instead leaving it up to pro services.

I guess I got lucky, because I got mine extremely quickly. I was shocked how quickly, actually. And I got my bonus email just a couple of days later. I haven't really had time to watch it yet, but it arrived quickly.

Then again, I live very close to them, so that may have helped I guess.

Funny, I was just wondering about my Stompernet package today. I emailed them last week and they said it had been shipped but almost a month now and no go show boat.

Thinking same level, make most people wait a month to push into continuity.

Yes received the bonus email. I'm in the UK so wasn't expecting the rest to turn up just yet. Although I do stand at the window waiting for the postman every morning all exicted.

I guess when you've got 20,000 packages to send out there are going to be delays.

I also received my Stomper package very quickly. I ordered in the first hour (that is after the landing page finally worked). I heard that they had over 10,000 orders. I'm sure they didn't have that many printed on the first run.

I didn't go for any of the bonuses or up-sells because I'm too busy right now and can't afford the distractions, but I would love to hear what some of you think about the bonuses you've received.

You got a tracking number?

Heck I have not even received a reply to my support requests and it has been days.

This sucks.

I am beginning to wonder if I got lost in the shuffle.

No bonus email.

No Product.

No answer to my support emails after days.

Order placed three weeks ago.

I have no faith in them right now.

Ok, so I sent two emails today one direct to Brad's personal email and one to admin.

I let Brad know I was not happy and had not received anything nor any response to my support requests...

Within two hours I got a call from their support staff providing me with my tracking number and apologizing for the delay.

The said their fulfillment house is not moving as fast as they would like and because of the volume of orders their support has been a bit overloaded.

I am happy I am going to get what I paid for :-)

Glad I did not participate in the promotion too. Just one of the many reasons that I do not like launches. Small companies with limited support and unpredictable fulfillment houses can = unhappy customers.

Looking forward to finally getting the content... which was shipped on 9/17 (two weeks after the order was placed) and should arrive 9/26.

I am sure this is a good lesson for the Stomper folks... but it also is a good lesson for the rest of us about what happens when you take in more volume than you can properly handle.

You get lots of cash but you also have the added responsibility of keeping a huge number of clients happy that you may not have the human resources to cover.

I got the email too.

And I got the package with STSE2, the first issue of "The Net Effect", and Volume I DVD of the month yesterday. DVD cases were a little on the "scratch n dent" side, but not big deal. It was worth the wait. I'll be gladly paying my dues next month.

I have had two emails both from Natalie Smallwood asking where my order is

Both times got what looks to be a generic reply posted below

I then waited nothing arrived so I rang their phone number 404) 348-4401

Pressed 5 to go through to their advocacy department the phone just hangs up tried again same result

I have now lost patience with company in their prelaunch videos they covered a lot about customer relationships building trust etc

I then visited the BBB and see they have an unsatisfactory rating.

Well I understand there may be logistical problems with shipping so much product that is no excuse for their poor lack of support or followup

I regularly buy a lot of products on Website design and usability mainly to stay abreast of industry changes I ordered three products from stompernet
Well they have lost my custom now for ever!!!

I will be putting through a chargeback to my cc soon as they have passed their own deadline they gave me for sending the product via email.

Maybe these guys should watch their own videos they could learn a bit from themselves

These were the identical emails I was sent and I never even received the confirmation email that was promised.

I think I was among those who ordered quite early on, but I've seen nary a sight of a package from them to date. I'm trying to be more patient, seeing that I'm located in Singapore and all, but it just seems to be taking much longer than I expected. I did receive an order confirmation email, though, so at least I know my order went through.

Mine just got here last night The magazine is great, but many might consider the material to be to "surfacey". I haven't read the whole thing yet, but the articles I did read left me wanting to know more details.

The DVD of the month was great. I learned quite a few things about linking and using Web 2.0 to improve your own ranking. In fact, some of it goes against what some people tell you to do. Their testing definitely clears up some myths.

I haven't watched the upsells (I got the first one and the slimeline case home study).

The cases were broken But luckily the DVDs themselves seem to be okay.

I had to LOL at the note from the fulfillment company inside, something to the effect of "Hope everything arrived in perfect condition."

It comes in a bubbled envelope and I've sent and received many other DVD's with no issues the same way. It seems to me that that amount of damages had to have been done BEFORE it got into the envelope. That or they use a kind of case that disintegrates on contact

All in all, I am happy and can't wait to go through the rest of everything.

What Andy has in store for the DVD club has me thinking I'll keep my subscription.

For those waiting...it seems a lot of the orders went out on the 17th. It took a week to get to the east coast of the US for me, so you might calculate when you'll receive it accordingly.

I did receive my UPS tracking via customer support within a day of asking, so if you're ancy you might do that

I love this time of year :)

As an affiliate partner I got a review copy sent to me... only problem is it didn't arrive until a few days after the launch had taken place.

General consensus seems to be the product is good but fulfillment is bad.

Offline Consulting: Liz - $12,000 her first month... Anthony - $7000 + $594 per month...
{Confidential} - BIG up-front and $1000+ per month... Scott - $45,000 in 3 months!
Don't you deserve the same unfair advantage they do?

I agree with Jen when it comes to the info both in the magazine and the dvd. I watched most of the DVD content this past weekend and I was impressed. As for the articles, so far, I read half of the magazine. So far, few articles in there was pretty good, gave me some really good ideas. So far, I especially liked the articles by Sherman Hu, Don Crowther, and Mike Stewart. And I agree with Jen, the articles makes you want more. I can understand that, how much can you put into a newsletter, right?

Ok, so it may just be me but I had a time trying to decide what to watch. I'm watching STSE 1 at the moment and with no video...it's a bit of a snoozer....but there's good info there.

Any suggestions on what to watch next. Read the first article in the magazine earlier. Nice read and I agree. Left me wanting more!

Any Canadians receive their package yet? It's only been two weeks since I ordered it so I can be patient, I'm just curious.

When I ordered Traffic Secrets 2.0 it also did take ages for them to ship the Stompernet Bonuses for those who bought through their affiliate link.

I did get them in the end though and they were worth it!

This is a reason I don't participate in big launches either!

thanks for the recommendations josh for the printing service as I was looking for a great place to have some books made up at :-)... I will trust your recommendation and give them a try!

Also thanks for the heads up on amazon I will check that out right NOW!

I also sent you a pm josh so if you can get back to me when you get a chance that would be wonderful!

God bless!

How many of you got the email with the info for the bonuses? .....
Hi Josh,
Have you received your STSE package yet ?

Your post reflected my own thoughts on the matter, only that I'm in Australia and I'd expect postage to take a bit longer

....My original order was confirmed Sept 4th (with upsell)
I submitted support ticket when no email or product had arrived by 15th.
I did get a courteous reply saying my order was shipped Sept 16th USPS and to allow up to 10 business days for delivery. Also that I would get the bonuses email.

Since then I have emailed support on three separate occasions.
So far, no product, no bonuses email, no acknowledgment of my latest queries. Not even a simple auto-responder message to say, "Thanks for your query we'll get to you ASAP".

To say I am disappointed with their service and organization is a major understatement. I would never have guessed this could happen with the reputation that Stompernet has (had?).

I would be very interested to hear the full story some day (did the hurricane knock out their records or what?)

Cheers,
Sven

Has anyone had trouble getting Trey Smith's bonus?

I've made several attempts...no luck.

Can't find anyway to contact him either. Any help would be appreciated.

I did get my stuff.

I will unsubscribe from all of the bonuses. There are too many of them.

The magazine is cool and informative.

I never received anything from Stompernet at all

I was sent an email telling me it was sent via ups

Then another in answer to a support query telling me it was being shipped by international post and to wait ten days

After still nothing arrived I canceled my subscription
And threatened a chargeback via my creditcard
Because When I asked for a refund for non delivery
I was told I had to send the products back to get one (pretty hard when they never arrived)

received an email from Don saying id be refunded which I was and I could keep the products when they arrived

Luckily I got a refund because nothing ever arrived.

I also had to deal with complaints from some people I recommended the product too.

Later on down the track I got an email from Andy Jenkins

Giving a pdf which basically said they hadn't expected the huge sales volume had problems with their delivery service etc etc

None of which explained why I was first told by Stompernet support staff
My paid for products had been sent via ups and even given a date they were sent on.

Then I was told it was now international mail to save costs by a another email when I sent in another support request.

Now over 5 months later nothing ever arrived

Am I complaining no I got my money back after sending in around 5 emails and threatening a chargeback

Did I take up Andy Jenkins offer for their follow up no,

No and I 'm the only one to blame for this, by this time Stompernet had lost
any credibility and I just wanted the whole matter to end.

What did I learn from this?

Choose who you recommend wisely I doubt that the people who emailed me that their products didn't arrive will ever follow up on one of my recommendations again.

Not to buy anything from Stompernet in the future.
