Default Offline marekting gear

I am about to break into offline marketing. I am going to start doing Web Based Marketing for Small Business Seminars.

So my question is I need personalized folders with my company logo on it that also have a slot for business card and CD. Folder only needs one pocket to hold sales material.

Anyone know where I can get these or know anyone who can make these for me?

Thanks let me know here or IM.

Hi Kevin,

Graphics I do, but making them, not sure online! I would probably be tempted to get the graphics and logos done, then go into print shops, that way you can see a physical copy of what you are buying, sometimes images online do not do justice!

This is most likely what I would do!

What about something like this:

Businesscard CD, Mini CD, Card CD, Shape CD, Clear CD with replication, duplication, manufacturing by Megalodon

Could you fit all of the information that you would have in the sleeve right into this little mini booklet alongside the CD and business card?

You could make the CD your business card if you wished as well.

Or what about this cd thing being the folder, and on the front you would have a slot for the business card, and then when they open up the little booklet get all of the information, and the cd? or is that too bulky for you?

or this?
( just to get an idea of what the styles are like?)

Toronto printing services - Commercial printing services

these kinds have designs that fit the card, your information, but not the cd I guess?

http://www.printingblue.co.uk/folder...ss-folders.asp

But thats getting closer to what you said, except you said you only needed one sleeve...

This website has some layouts you could look at:

http://www.foldersolutions.com/confo...sentation.html

I think something like this:

http://www.foldersolutions.com/image...ions/08-64.gif

Could work, where the left side holds the CD, and if you changed the right side to have different slots to hold the business card, and then the sleeves to hold the information, except you said you didn't need to sides for information.

Once all of the awkward things are out of the way, you can have a REAL conversation~ Acrasial

A local print shop can probably give you a good bargain on
this sort of printing. I wouldn't recommend Kinko's unless
you want to pay top dollar. Local print shops are often
quite competitive with internet print shops and eager
to work with a new client. Phone around.

I have sold several off line companies, usually with no materials. I sell myself and my passion for their business. When it comes to small biz (1-10 employees) a good line is "You can go with the ones that have a slick presentation or someone that is more interested in spending their time on their client's on-line presentations. If you prefer to pay for the time and money that company spent and paid for slick selling tools, that would be up to you, but you can be sure their prices or service will reflect that cost."

Just a thought. If you feel the client NEEDS something, a logo'd mindmap of what you'll do for them is usually much better understood and quick for them to see. Most of the small businesses I talk to don't have time to watch CDs. (Otherwise they'd do it themselves.) Lol.

Just my experience. If you are going after 50+ employee businesses, they do like the flashy junk sales material. Carrying in a copy of Bill Glazer's 'Outrageous advertising that outrageously sells' and giving it to them to help them with direct off-line ads is also a huge deal for them; that you care enough to help with more than just the on-line stuff. (Book costs $20 at Amazon). Never lost a deal to a slick presentation yet and made most sales wearing jeans and a flannel shirt! My hardest problem is talking in 'laymen terms'. I usually have to back-up and re-state things in a more non-tech way. Lol.

(I also call them on a Saturday afternoon to ask a question. Lets them know I am working for them 24/7)

And then, I deliver more than I said I would. I am careful to give them two-three times the value anyone else would for the price.

Good 1½ minute video of Frank Kern from this past info summit (two days ago):

YouTube - Glazer-Kennedy Info-SUMMIT Update #4 - Frank Kern

(Sent that to several clients, helps them understand where I am coming from.)

IF in future you're going to need a local print shop to work with you (print cards/magazines/folders/flyers/etc etc) better start by approaching some of them in your local area right now.

Ask them everything about prices, quality, quantities, what they can do, what they don't do, etc etc

I bet you'll find a sweet one that will help you along the way.

Keep in mind that print design is not easy. trust me on that one, we deliver anything you can imagine for offline clients and it's a pain.

That's why we always work with ONE local and very friendly printshop.

Any question, just ask mate.

Fernando

Edit: If you're into offline crowd, better prepare yourself to some print works. Use Corel Draw or similar and start studying the core of it. At least 50% of our income comes from print jobs.

Discover MiniSiteBox -- Yes, You get Professional Minisites... but you don't have to spend what others charge you for a "I've seen it before!!" sales page.

We just do our stuff from scratch. You just sit and cash in.

Kevin,

I just did a quick google search for presentation folders with business card slot and found hundreds of sources. Prices all over the map.

Try it.

I had a presentation I did recently for a target niche. I printed out (have a laser printer) pages that summarized my presentation (as well as contained my sales pitch) and got them bound at staples. This book is my business card. It only cost like $3 a piece to get them bound, and have a front and back cover.
