I am going to be setting up a site to sell a down loadable PDF. I plan to have a blog to keep up a dialog with people even if they do not buy the product. Should I have a traditional webpage with both the offer and the blog as part of it, or should I have a squeeze page with a mention of the blog and let them go to blog if they want after reading squeeze page copy. I will have a drop down email newsletter signup on whichever format I go with. Suggestions anyone? Thanks, Ed.

Just set up a free Blogger Blog using: How To Turn A Blog Into A Static Minisite I love this template sure it costs 8 Bucks, but it's great. Nope, I'm not an affiliate, it's just a great product and has made me a lot of money. (If the guy is a member here, please contact me as I'd love to be an affiliate, just put the price up because the template is priced way too low) On your free Blogger Blog put an Aweber Optin and a Paypal BIN option, offer a freebie and sell your product to your subscribers. Easy, and it won't cost you more than $8 for the site template and you can keep a rapport with your subscribers and convert them to buyers. Does this answer your question? |

The last thing you want is to get your site up and running and profitable, and then have the Big G shut it down. Start with a hosted WP blog to begin with and avoid Blogger altogether. | |

I agree that WordPress is the best option, and have it on your own domain and hosting. Get all the benefits of blogging. Also send people to the blog so people can get a taste of the value you are offering before they opt-in, it builds up the trust factor and people are more likely to become good subscribers if they get value first. Give before you get.

One of the options that you casn use here for your funnel is to have your squeeze page on your root domain name. Yoursite.com Then have your blog at - YourSite.com/blog When the lead opts in you can forward them to your blog where you can have your presells, links, etc. going to your sales page. Frank Bruno |

| That's kind-of what I do with SocialMediaWorkbook.com (see the bottom link in my sig) - that is a WP blog running thesis theme, if you go to the homepage it is pretty much a traditional squeeze approach (even the navigation is limited), but any of the deeper pages have the opt-in in the sidebar.
