Can you get rich online without Google?

Greetings all,

This post is a kind of "roll call" to gather ideas for the community and for those who want to consider alternative methods from Adsense, SEO or Adwords.

Many of the big web sites can act as "traffic funnels" if you know what you are doing and if you make some form of valuable contribution to the site. And the amount of traffic that flows through Google is actually a micro-fraction of the total amount of available traffic available.

We're living in a "Google World" and the big G has some awesome resources available as we all know - but there are many other ways to get free traffic, many ways to get paid traffic, and many ways to monetize sites.

So let's hear some of them. Social network marketing, offline marketing to product sales pages, banner advertising, PPV, article traffic to clickbank sales pages.... what are YOU doing that doesn't involve Google and that is kicking butt?

Yep - rank high in Yahoo and Bing. Use social networking to get traffic.
Google isn't everything... but they can help make you richer

There are so, so many ways to get rich without Google.

Yes, Google can make you rich, but it is not the lifeblood of every wealthy internet marketer.

I make very good money from e-mail marketing. Not one of my subscribers came from using Google.

Of course you can.In many areas,you needn't promote your business online.So it's not
necessary for you to get a hing rank on google or others.Even they don't have their own
website.

Yes! You don't need Google.

For every new venture I go for it takes a while for Google to pick up and index the site.. plus another while for it to climb the ranks. Just not a smart way of doing business in my eyes.. of course having everything in place for when Google does index and rank your site is a good idea, but I'll give you an example; a brand new site I created made over $20,000 in sales before being indexed by Google.

And hell, if I can do it, anyone can. I'm not clever.

Sure - Google is not core to success, but just to add some common sense to this thread...why wouldn't you want to use them for as long as you can?

You can pull together a 7 figure business right out of the WF if you want to...without any other resources. But why do that when you can have the best of all worlds?

Google, like other search engines and social media services add another layer of traffic and potential customers to my business without any significant extra work or overhead costs.

My business model doesn't rely solely on any one thing...but I'm not going to turn off a source just because they're big.

Google is biggest search engine, but ofcourse not the only one traffic source..
Just think out of the box..and don't be lazy in researching.. Go viral

You can still make your money online without Google. It is the largest search engine on the net but you can leverage on other means to make your money. Yahoo, MSN, Adbrite etc are some of the other money making vaults.

Yes you still can make money online without using google.. make a comunity.. join forum, you can sell something there..

Sure, most of the so called Im 'Gurus' do not rely on google for their big paydays.

When you look at the Million Dollar Days they were all achieved through JV partners, i.e. affililates.

Important aspects are:
- have your own products
- have a backend in place for every frontend sale you make
- build lots of relationships for JV's
- build a list yourself

Every site I have built has been indexed by Google in under 24 hours. 20,000 in sales in a day? Or did you not submit a sitemap and install G's analytics?
(Mind you it has taken some time to rise in rank, but sometimes hit page one for some keywords in that same time frame.)

But yeah, they are only one part of a huge equation. One needs to examine all ways of creating traffic in order to not leave money on the table. After all is said and done, Google is less than 25% of your total picture anyway. (Until they take over the world). Lol.

I know an e-commerce website that makes about 6M per year. Most of its clients are direct traffic. Some comes from Google of course.
