I need five 800 numbers to test some landing pages for a PPC campaign. I've used RingCentral.com in the past. But, I want to find a cheaper 800 number vendor. Does anyone know a cheap source of 800 numbers? Thanks in advance for your help. |

My budget is less than $10 for each 800 number. RingCentral.com charges $9.95 plus per minute charges. We won't be using very many minutes, so I don't care about the per minute rate.

| Actually I thought RingCentral has pretty good pricing for what you get. Out of curiosity, what would you consider good? Something that goes per-minute instead of flat-fee?

You'd need to have it connect up to a web XML file that would contain a US-based number to connect to. $5/month, 5 cents per minute for toll free numbers.

I've been using kall8.com for about 6 mo. and they are reliable and not too expensive. The only thing with these services is that when you have voicemail on, you may get random computerized calls. Some people think it's a trick they do run up your voicemail charges. I really have no idea. I do know, though, that when I had my voicemail activated, I would occasionally get calls both during biz hours and at 2 or 3 a.m. and no one was there when I answered. I researched the issue and it seems the problem is not exclusive to kall8, though, so I don't blame them. I would still recommend them. Another thing I like about them is that you can "point" your U.S. 800 number to any phone anywhere in the world (or almost), so it's great if you travel a lot. The company is very "international friendly." |

800 - the most popular/expensive/come to mean toll free 866/877 - cheaper/always mistaken as local numbers for business/home 888 - cheaper/best alternative to 800 Now which do you prefer?
