Consider this the newbie question of the day :0 I have a set of domain names that I bought recently. I was planning on using them for an affiliate marketing push that is going on now. Due to some other projects taking up more time than expected, I am not planning on utilizing them. Where do I sell them? They aren't complete websites, just domain names so wasn't sure if it would go in the Complete website subforum. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. Scott |

If you list them at Sedo.com they will handle the exchange of money and domain. You can also list them at DNforum.com or forums.digitalpoint.com |

You can also sell them in domain auctions like SnapNames, NameJet, GoDaddy, Bido, and lots of others ones.

First, I hate to promote another forum (I'm not really) but I have had great success selling at namepros. To answer your question, the future is already here. Hundreds of people make a full time living flipping domain names. |

I would say digital point would be a good place.

If the domain names you're selling are half decent .com or .nets you might get good results at BIDO. It's a social auction platform run by Sahar, quite a well known name to domainers. I've noticed quite a few 1 / 2 word generics making pretty good money there! |

I'm made more sale at NP than anywhere else but those darn mods are a pain sometimes. lol I've sold 2-3 at DNF but that was a while ago and so with Sedo I guess depends on the season too. |

This thread has a great list of places for selling domain names. I am just lately started getting interested in domain selling business. I would like some help and advice on what kind of domains are best to buy and sell.

Hi all, was wondering, if you are selling it on your own, how would the transfer of domain be like? Is it easy?

I would try Flippa.com. A domain sold there recently for a record $250 000! There are obviously people there willing to pay big bucks if the domain is worth it

I've sold names on eBay and Godaddy, which I'd say are better for buying than selling. Gotten best prices on Sedo, but you have to wait until someone is interested, so it is a good idea to list your names there and possibly market them elsewhere. Now I am trying Bido and we'll see how that goes. So far, I am quite addicted to their system of voting on which domains should go to auction in return for a share of the profits if they sell. Probably a waste of time, but it's fun. |
