Keyword phrase 72k searches a month, I'll rank #1 in about a week, how should I monetize it?

Title says it all. Ideas? Here are the details on the domain:

Basic domain of a popular tv show with "watch online" type targeted traffic. (i.e. people who want to watch the show online for FREE)
Zero competition.
70,000+ searches a month

Based on the strength of the competitors I should be #1 in just a week or two once I get some content indexed. Should I monetize with Adsense, CPA, something else? I've never done a niche like this so I'm hoping someone else has had especially good results with one method over the other, open to suggestions!

What will your content be? Are you going to post videos for the people to watch? If you are then a gateway CPA offer/survey is one route you can go down. If you aren't then you are not solving the browser's problem so getting them to do anything for you will be hard.

Adsense will return little for Entertainment websites so I think that will be a waste of the traffic.

Another option is links to the box set of previous seasons with an affiliate program such as Amazons or EBay - the people are looking for free tv shows though.

Other CPA offers will probably just be passive banners scattered around the site.

Adsens usually pays low for that niche. I'd try selling something related via aff programs or CPA.

why don't you use the gate way with a simple email submit offer and then post a link on the "hidden" site to a youtube channel of the tv show?

Or you also could offer some dvd rental cpa offers where they get a free trial. This could also convert and pays out quite good I think.

If you don't want to go to the dark side then spilt your page into 2 columns. One column speak about ways of finding the movies for free but do not provide any direct links to individual torrents or rapidshare files. Above this content have a poll for the person to vote for their favourite episode or character and link to a email or zip submit for them to win a prize.

On the other, larger column find an offer that will hit the target market for the show. Give it a big sell and hope that it catches their eye. This offer maybe an email submit or a higher paying 1 or 2 page survey or a movie/dvd offer.

I don't think there is much else you can do with that type of audience...

Don't forget though, that some high volume traffic isn't necessarily paying traffic.

You don't mention the niche (I underderstand why not) and I presume you think that it can be monetised.

I know it doesn't apply to you, I just wanted to mention it in case it helps others, but many beginners often target the wrong traffic. Make sure that the niche one targets does have people that are willing to open their wallets etc.

Otherwise a lot of effort can go to waste, even with high traffic volumes.

Good call, I'm 70-90% sure I can monetize the traffic, and it'll probably cost me less than $40 to set the site up and get in the #1 slot, so it's worth a shot...

Good call also... been leaning more towards CPA/Ads as opposed to a Clickbank type deal since it'll be easier to convert the freebie seekers. Great suggestions though so far

    Contextual ads....

    Headline Here
    blah, blah, blah copy here
    as bove here
    Website Linky Link Goes Here

    ^ Look familiar??

Don't rule out the possibility of "freebie seekers" being actively involved in purchasing.

They might be freebie seekers when it comes to watching something online, but that doesn't make them non-buyers completely

Probably an obvious point but i'll mention it anyway just in case.

Take into account the demographic of the people who watch the show.

If they are young, "hip" type folk then maybe some of the ringtone, smiley type CPAs would work or something different for an older veiwer.

Sure you will have thought of this though.

Looking at what others are doing....Justin.tv (watch online free crowd) uses adsense to monetize.
