Why not wait until 1st Dec before buying yet another IM programme

Hi,

We always wonder about those exceptional income claims. I get confused with so many claims.

I think post Dec 1st we will see vastly different claims being made.

A lot of the ridiculous claims are made by really, really small people that the FTC would never worry about - Think of the newbies posting, "How can I make $39 before January" whilst also having "ClIcK HeRE to see how *I* make $100s of thousands of $$$$$S online!" in their signature. The FTC won't care about these guys, they're nothing. They only care about people big enough to make it worth their while.

You might see fewer large claims of income from the 'big' guys, but I doubt it, because they actually do make good money. One thing to notice though is that if they talk about a product 'doing' $20m it doesn't necessarily mean that they made that much profit. That was just their total sales. The amount of actual profit they make after affiliates have been paid and overheads have been covered is much lower and they don't talk about it because it's none of our business =) They aren't lying if they say they made $20m in sales though.

The internet being what it is, with the anonymity it affords and the sheer SIZE of it makes me believe that we won't see any fewer claims of exceptional income. In fact I expect we'll see more and more simply because more and more people are getting on the internet and trying their hand at internet marketing every day. Most people are simply too small for the FTC to bother with and they know it. Furthermore a huge number of them are located outside of the USA and so cannot be touched by the FTC.

I think these extravagant claims will end only when people start to think that making a more modest income claim can actually be more effective than making a huge claim.
