Free online audio software

I am trying to put together an audio CD to upload to Kunaki for an audio CD product offering. I am on a tight budget.

Any suggestions as to a quality software?
I would prefer free software, but for future reference... what is the most reasonable payware software in terms of cost and sound quality?
