You Simply Can't Compete, Can You?????????

I need some real feed back here guy's!

I'm currently researching a niche that's pretty competitive and during my research I notice a certain site was topping out the Google ranks for just about every keyword worth any effort.

Yes, that's normal but the kicker is the site is only a few months old, I ran a compitition check in market sam and it had over 600 .edu/.gov back links and a **** load of others.

It's obvious the owner is using some sort of software to gain those links, he out ranked some real big dogs in this particular niche with ease. I always knew that this stuff was out there because I refuse to believe that the internet Giants got there by writing articles all day.

Yes' I know money can be made that way but how long does it actually take?

What do you do when you've been working your a** off building a business around a certain niche and someone utilizing software decides he/she want to dominate that market.

How do you compete with software/system powerful enough to push a brand new site to the top knocking optimized PR 6&7 sites clean out the way?

Do you simply cross your fingers and hope they don't come your way or are you the one using the software in the first place?

Flying under the radar??????????????????

Do they have good original content?

Either way, as long as YOU keep creating good, original content you will win in the long run.

Whether he is spamming or not, who knows. Doesn't mean you can't compete though

I agree, there's a lot of time spent on finding out what the other guys are doing and I just can't lie down at night knowing that I wasted my time on that sort of thing. Get out there and make your own path!

Having said that, it's always a good idea to check out your competitors meta tags. I wouldn't go much past that though.

Go to their page, let it load, right click - view source

The section you're interested in is at the top between <head> and </head>

That'll give you all the insight you need!

What type of link building do you do that's not considered spam?

Unless your in the IM niche, how many people do you think search for a diet or flat screen tv, find what their looking for and say hey, let me start a blog and link to this, nooooot!

In my own opinion, IM is just as everything else, if it make's money it's illegal or greatly regulated.

I could be wrong but I would bet money that your marketing practices are going against Google rules in some way or another, you just do it on a smaller scale.

So does this make you a non spammer?

    Wealthyclark,

They may or may not be using software for their backlinks. The same can be done by outsourcing too if you get the right team together. Plus there are other ways to get that many backlinks like blog networks, forum networks, etc ... that share links and other info.

If you are trying to do all and be all in your business then I suggest you look into investing some capital into forming your own netwrok, joining other people's networks, or simply paying for outsourcing.

If you can't afford capital to keep up with the competition (and yes, it sometimes takes capital to get where you want to be) try forming your own close-nit network of people where each person helps the entire team.

I see many times where people say there is too much competition or the competition is far above where these people want to be. But the truth is, they aren't willing to do what it takes to stay competetive in these markets or they simply do not want to take the time it takes, have no captial to invest, or havn't the knoweledge to keep up.

You either want to beat the competition badly enough to try or you don't, but you have to give your business your all. You also have to be smart enough to know what you are capable of doing and when.

using software only lasts a few months and then upgrade is added. Better to add fresh content daily or weekly than to waite for the next upgrade or Google's next slap.

Even if this were true, how much would it hurt to lose 3 months worth of buying traffic that took you months, in most cases even worth talking about, years to gain. Even if it was only temporary.

And what we shall do for someone who worked his a**off to build a business, and was cheap not to invest in these software applications or hire a dedicated team to build backllinks to his site"????

Your post remind me about the hilarious "Remove Your Site From Google or I'll Sue " email..

Some people think just for being there for years and accumulating PR just for the time factor is enough to claim this business is theirs and no one shall compete with them!!!!!

        What the f***?

Everyone has the right to compete in whatever way they see suitable, and if the other businesses aren't smart enough to figure out how he/she is doing and fight with the same weapons, it's better for them to open a backyard store and think about retirement..
