Default Help with video files that don't rewind, fast forward, stop...

Hi,

Is there a way to take someone's video files loaded online that have no fast forward, rewind, stop / start button and timing tool and use them in another player that does have all these features? Many of these kinds of videos show up, seems like, and there's no way to know how long the videos are, plus there is no way to stop them and then quickly go back to where you were and continue, or rewind to reply some points you may have want to review again.

Thanks for any help!

They are quite annoying, aren't they?

One sneaky way is to get some screen capture software installed so you can just record the whole thing on your screen and play it back.

As long as you are using the video for personal review, I personally don't see anything wrong with doing this.

That's sure an idea, but wow, some of these are hours long! I mean one membership site has 25 hours in one area alone. Sure wish they had the features, I mean how do you know you have so many hours available, and what if the phone rings, someone drops by, etc?

Example: someone did drop by after 38 minutes into viewing one, and there is simply no way to go back and pick up where I left off, and with so many more hours to go of videos, I sure don't want to spend time repeating the first 38 mins. on the same stuff...and hoping there are no further interruptions. Just not possible to predict.

And then there are all the other videos - -same type issues.

Hopefully people with these type recordings will wise up and post other formats. Not going to hang around membership sites with content like this that isn't of value this way. What is taught will be behind the times before I get to finally view all of it – if I do

its better if you can download the video using bitcomet, just download it with the url link or save target as or if you have realaudioplayer, the function download this video will appear.

you can manage your viewing time later after downloading everything..

Who the heck did this to you on a membership site? I would contact them and ask them to fix it or send you links so you could download the materials, or ask for money back.

Thanks! Don't want the files on the mini-laptop I'm using to view them, but maybe adding them to a mobile drive or zip would work. Really just want to view them from the site, but hey, open to suggestions

Thanks again!

I contacted them only a day or so ago, by a couple different means; haven't heard back yet but it's still very early. Really trying to see the videos at this point, so fingers crossed Thanks for the suggestion, though. They're probably working on a solution, would be my guess.

You are making me feel more normal for having checked into this, too, so thanks for that as well! I was thinking everyone else knows how to manipulate all these new file formats today
