The best video marketing tips?

Hi,

I am sick of having to write content, submitting to article directories etc and want to do something more fun and creative to help promote my website.

Video seems to grasp peoples attention if done right and can really drive traffic but what methods do you use to make it happen?

Can anyone give any tips on how to get lots of viral traffic?

There are some good threads. Best tip I can give you is keep is simple and keep consistent at it.

Just as in any other form of marketing, you want to use keywords that get traffic in your title.

Then you want to find other videos similar to yours that will allow you to post a "video response". This is a section under the video just above "comments".

You can put your video link there as a "response".

Get traffic to your video from the more traditional forms like articles, Social Bookmarking, links in your blog posts, sig files, viral PDFs...

Views seem to generate views so the more you can get the more will come.

Why would you want to do that?

Because if you don't do that youtube will show "related videos"

So instead of the viewer getting diestracted by the related videos that pop up they only see your shocking headling your call to action and your url.

There you have it. The best secret I ever learned about youtube :P

I'm not a presidential candidate but I approve this tip.

I use it on ALL my videos.

Another tip is to make x videos EVERY DAY.

We have all read success stories here with Warrior working like mad ones writing articles every day for 3-4 weeks, seeing nothing for a while and then boom! 3000$ affiliates sales.

I have read them often and the common factor is pretty much consistency.

If it can work for articles, I'm sure it will work for videos too.

If you want an honest tip, here goes:

Spend your time on quality. Don't focus on quantity. Focus on consistency, but if you provide quality, consistency matters less..

Think about Frank Kern's stuff... it's awesome quality... he doesn't post a vid every day or week, but when he does.... people mob over it, because it's GOOD stuff.

In fact, he's built up a rep for having such good videos that even when he releases crap videos people mob over them..

- Include a live link in the video description text.
- Include a call to action and compelling reason in the video for viewers to click the link.

This is huge and it really helps. Always make sure you do this!

Also, video marketing is similar to article marketing in that keyword research and consistency are key to success.

There is nothing really shown to be against it. I have had You Tube and Metacafe show at the top of google for the same described video.

I have two videos on both Youtube and Metacafe for my new campaign bt neither seem to be showing up anywhere near the first five pages of Google. It's been a few days. Have i not tagged them correctly do you think?

My first video i did was on a fender telecaster guitar. I put all the content in the video, every single thing about the product.

and even in this format below on the video pages, just like every section of a full sales copy. But with catchy words.
[Yes]. guitar strap..
[Yes]. String attached..
[yes] ..more

It was like my first video, at that time the software i use did not produce the highest quality finish. I choose some raw rythm guitar with drums music from you tube to compensate the graphic. It was like 50% quality than what i produce now with the new software.

And the result?

It has gain more than 2k view, already with like 14 comments/feeedback (good and bad).People actually start reviewing the video/guitar i produce. And i have a link to purchase the guitar from Amazon and my guitarblog on my description box, top left.

Make sure you have the product name on your video title to ensure it will be under the right category, or you can just post a video response.

you can check my signature for my recent video production outing. ANd basically, you will also need graphic editing software such as Adobe Photshop to create beautiful background, lower third and so on to enhance your video quality
