Are Aweber 'finally' getting their form builder sorted? NOW LIVE!!

If you're an Aweber user that's wanted to do anything but a standard (for standard, read boring) opt in box, you'll be aware that the html their site generates is woefully inadequate.

Well, it would appear that they're finally getting their act together. According to their blog it's not launched yet but this page promises significant improvements --> Why You'll Love AWeber's New Web Form Builder

If you can't be bothered to go to their site, here's the vid they put up:

I think you got it right, Peter..

They are making a fantastic step with this. I'm really looking forward to it being fully featured in my back office..

It is fairly easy to "juggle" the regular AWeber code, after you do the boring standard thingy, but it will be much better to have the options right there in the builder..

    Peace

I have to custom program all of my aweber forms to use javascript on the submit anyway with .net.

I never really understood why people are using Aweber!
You have to pay a monthly fee and it isn't better than the one time payment autoresponder and Ezine list software I use.

I wish you all the best with Aweber, but I tell you there is something better out there and much cheaper!

This thing called a black list. Once your domain is on it... and trust me, no matter what business you're in... someone will not unsubscribe, but report you for spamming.... it's nearly impossible to get your domain scrubbed from all the ISP lists.

In short, deliverability and an insurance policy.

I'm hoping that the new developments will help with producing forms that work with the WP theme, Thesis. It's been a bitch to get a decent looking opt-in with the Thesis/Aweber combo thus far.

Justin (from Aweber) replied to a tweet of mine with the following comment which gives some hope:

the HTML generated by the new web form builder will be significantly improved over the previous version. night and day. ^JP
Still no indication when it will be available as yet though.

At the risk of sounding like an Aweber affiliate, I thought it'd be useful to update this thread with the info that these new forms are now live - well, sort of.

They're rolling them out gradually to members.

It's not enabled for my account just yet but it might be worth while checking your own.

    Wow this is really cool!

Love the new features they put into this. A lot of flexibility!

They also have some sort of new thank you page option that plays a new standard video from Aweber. Have not tested this yet but great feature.

Good stuff guys! Lots of options.
