Well, this technique is nothing new. I just had the idea from Chris Rempel "lazy affiliate program" ![]() I'm a software programmer and I have the passion of IM. So, I've learned the hard way that if you want to achieve success, you have to provide value .... great value ... and for FREE! Yes, that's right! Create a product, a great product, and give it away for free... It will make you money, it's for sure. I had a software program that I think is really awesome. It' Pdf Pop Up Pro (you can add optin form to any pdf file) I have made two WSOs in the past without having great success... So I decided to apply the above rule: great product => give it away for free Well, I made a free version of my software that doesn't have all the same features of the Pro, but most of them ![]() Few days ago I have made a new WSO giving away the free version ... for FREE ![]() I made just a simple modification to the software: to run the program you need a license and to get a license you need to subscribe to my list ![]() Simple concept that works like a charm ![]() Well, many people from this forum have downloaded the software, and some of them have distribuited it ... Results? 700+ subscribers in few days and many sells of the Pro version I'm really happy for this |

This is not a formula for building a list . It is a very good explanation of how to set up the bait to build a list ... with an actual working method to monetize said bait. This bait would remain listless without some other components . Traffic generation... No matter what the quality of your bait is ... without eyeballs on it , it will do you no good . A proper presentation. The bait has to be presented in a way that builds desire for the fix to the problem your software addresses . 700 subscribers in 3 days is a good number and apparently you have all the phases figured out . If you are to remain true to the promise made in your headline , you will have to elaborate further . Just build it and they will come does not apply to online . |

I don't know if it is a "bait" as you call it... For me it is just a technique to build a list just a bit different, nothing really new. Just download my software if you like it (but you like it because it is something new), and fill in my optin form in order to receive the license to use it. Regarding the traffic, well I have made a WSO and for sure someone has given away the software to his list, because I have many subscribers in few days. So, the software was particular and has marketed by itself (viral). | |

There is always a danger of creating a list of "freebie seekers only". These freebie seekers are nothing more than people who will waste your time and they will create emails that go along the lines of warriorgoodies@gmail.com. And then you never hear from them. |

I understand the concept of avoiding the freebie seekers. in general most of them may never buy from you. However, there are many benefits you have to consider. 1. they may refer other people who are buyers. If you provide a valuable service, you will get them to refer you to other people who will buy from you. You may never have been found by those people if you had ignored the freebie seeker 2. Many people seeking free information are doing so because they don't have the money to invest. If you help them to get to the point that they have the money, they will be more likely to spend it with you. When I started marketing, I had no money. Now that I do, I usually will go back to the people who helped me get there rather than the people who ignored me due to not having the money at that time. |

The "bait " I am referring to is what ever vehicle you use to get visitor information . many use prl, software or create their own product . I feel you have started a very useful post . You have covered the bait process and even getting some sales to a degree. Is the wso the only traffic generation method you are using ? If so you may decide it a good idea to expand your advertising . Warriors are some hard sales to a certain point . If you are doing well with them.... the general public will eat your software up. I love the Warrior Forum.... spend way too much time here , There is no way I would depend on any one site ( or tactic) as my business model. Allen Says could easily say no more software WSO"s tomorrow. Now don't freak out ... I don't have the inside scoop, or the inside anything for that matter, just sayin .... his forum .... his rules . I am not trying to criticize your post in any way . I am just saying there is more to building a list than having something to giving away . Quote:

My entire business model revolves around freebie seekers . My job is too give them the information that will help them online to the point of being able to invest in themselves . Sometimes they buy the tools from my link.... sometimes they don't . Some buy everything I put out myself ..... Some never buy . By striving to give them quality information...... the sales kind of take care of themselves . I do agree it is vital to get buyers on their own list . Besides the obvious reasons .... it is good to know the list member has a way of getting money to me . You would be surprised at the people that request I take a money order from them. Quote:

Why don't you have two versions, one of which is free, and one of which has more functions and costs money? Works for me, in a couple of niches... |

Hey great work. That's the formula to build a list of subscribers. Give something of great value away and make sure you have a powerful product to sell in the back-end. Thanks, ^PV Reymond |
