Default Affiliate program question

Hello,

I am trying to feel my way around affiliate marketing and I am confused about a few things. I want to try promoting some products from Commission Junction and Linkshare. However the majority of the advertisers in there require me to have a site and they want to review it before they approve me. They have allot of categories but how does one get approved for any of them if they do not have a website that meets their criteria? It appears that I would have to have sites set up specifically for that product. That seems a bit much. Am I missing something?

To get approval from those companies at Commission Junction is very difficult if you dont have website. Even though you have website, if catogories which you like to promote not matching with your website, still they dont approve you. Best way to earning from affiliate marketing is with Clickbank and Paydotcom where you will not need to have website and no approval needed. Only thing is you have to promote the affilaite links given by them. Hope this helps.

I agree. Start with Clickbank and PayDotCom products. Once you have proven yourself and built a reputation, it will be much easier to get approval for Commission Junction and other networks.

Sure you will still need a website to grow your affilliate marketting but there is always a starting point so try PayDotCom

Float Interactive is reasonably good as well - search them on Google (I can't post links yet)

With most of these networks you need to be quite pushy to get approved. I just got Neverblue approval this morning but it took 2 months and a phone call at 6am New Zealand time, and I'm doing 800,000 page views a month!!
Hydra was easier. You'll still need a site, though.
With CJ, I get randomly rejected by some advertisers, and not by others that are selling the exact same products.
Linkshare was easy to join, from memory. And Google Affiliates.
