Default Couple of questions.

I have a website that ranks well for terms unrelated to the topic of the website.

Example: www.hugebowlsofmilk.com is the domain. but one of the blog posts (this is a wordpress website) is www.hugebowlsofmilk.com/makemoneyonline.

That particular blog post gets lots of traffic and makes affiliate sales, but can't rank in google for the main keywords that get all the traffic for that niche.

Is there a way I can redirect ONE PAGE (www.hugebowlsofmilk.com/makemoneyonline) to a new domain i buy like (example: MAKEMONEYONLINENOWNOOB.com)?

Also, the question that comes along with this is, will I lose my current google rankings for the long term stuff if I redirect, and will the keyword rich domain benefit me in any way shape or form?

DISCLAIMER: The websites mentioned in this post are not real, and furthermore the niche I am targeting is NOT make money online. Those were just examples.

Hi Jason

Your links go nowhere. Can't answer without real links

Kenj

The Memoirs Of Edward Rochester - Just imagine if Jane Eyre had been written by Mr Rochester.
My first full length novel now on Kindle and In Print on Createspace. That's what I call a niche!

Sorry its a highly competitive niche, and I won't give away my actual sites/keywords.

In a word, yes
with two options, masked or unmasked
masked will show the new domain in the address bar, but wherever they go on the site will always show just the new domain addy and cause some of the pages too not show correctly. So if you mask it, the page should be unlinked from the main site and links to the main site added with the proper old addresses. Google will see it as merely a page of the larger site with an extra domain pointed at it and it shouldn't rank any differently unless the domain is significantly different than the 1st one.

Unmasked means they click abcdef. com and end up on hugebowlofm oilk.com/abc in the address bar, again, no significant difference in rank.

To rank higher on that page, start a backlink campaign for that page using various keywords you want to rank for the anchor text as well as fully optimize the page itself for those words. Optimizing a single page, on page, for more than 2-3 keywords is quite a feat in itself.

That help?
