Do you mean that you have a product and want to have affiliates sell your product or you want to create affiliate software to track affiliate sales?

    You can :

    1. Install an affiliate management script on your site and encourage people to join.

    or

    2. Join affiliate networks like sharesale.com, clickbank.com, payditcom.com etc to be promoted by already registered team of affiliates.

    .

I use the JROX Affiliate Manager software... it's full featured and can easily handle tons of affiliate program variations...

Here's the best part... you can download and install it for free... JROX allows you to use the software for free up to 50 affiliates... after that you need to buy a license...

Now... on the JROX webpage it says that it costs $250 for the software... here's a way to get it for 1/2 price...

When you register for the free version you'll be offered an OTO... in that OTO you can get the affiliate program for only $125... and that includes installation too! -- also, he offers a 3-pay program with no mark-up cost... you pay $25 first payment and then 2 payments of $50...

I know quite a few marketers that use JROX and I went with them after doing quite a bit of research... it's a good program that you should check out... Start, Promote and Manage Your Own Successful Affiliate Marketing Program

      Hope this helps...

Mobiusman talks about the Head Brain/Gut Brain system. Did you know you have two different brains?

I have a product that I want affiliates to sell.

However, I want to know the best way to structure the program and obtain all the required copy that describes the operational elements of the program.

I see some sites that have websites set up, ready to go with all the relevant copy etc for the potential affiliates to use.

    In short - a turn=key affiliate program!

Sorry, but there's no such thing as a turn-key affiliate program. There are numerous elements involved in getting an affiliate program set up and running and all those elements need to be customized to fit the needs of the program.

You need tracking software which has to be configured to work with your cart, or you need to join an affiliate network, technically integrate with your cart. You need banners and copy for your affiliates to use. You need affiliate agreements and terms of service. And you need marketing copy and details about your affiliate program to be able to attract affiliates.

If you don't want to do all of that yourself you could hire an outsourced affiliate manager to get everything set up and then run the program for you. The OPMs I know charge in the $3,000 - $5,000 a month range, but I think there may be someone doing set up only, for a lot less. Not sure if he's still doing it, I'd need to check.
