Hello Warriors, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news (that's debatable) but, as you all know: The Federal Trade Commission has issued new rules regarding the use of testimonials and endorsements. These rules take effect on December 1, 2009 and can be found at: http://www.ftc.gov/os/2009/10/091005endorsementguidesfnnotice.pdf This is a complete compilation of the background, discussions, and final rules and guidelines that have now been mandated. It may be a bore, but Please review these guidelines to ensure your website and ads are consistent with these rules. |

This has been required for some time now. I seriously hope this scares all the scumbags out there that write false reviews on articles and blogs, that tweet utter nonsense on twitter and that hype up their product with 1 in a million testimonials and or even use fake ones. Personally im a HUGE advocator of ethical selling (ive had my fair share of posts and threads taken down after going after people a little to strongly). Its Because i have been burnt many times, i feel its cheating for competing marketers to lie and cheat their way to a sale and i hate the bad name it gives all of the honest IMers. All that needs to happen is for a handful of IMers to be caught every year. However i doubt there is much they can do about people in other countries. |

"Hundreds of posts about this already......" I just did a search for "FTC" in thread titles and got only two results. Thanks for the official FTC link and the blog as well. |
