Default Is Google Analytics all that accurate? Here's why I ask...

UPDATE: PLEASE IGNORE - I figured out that my Analytics was being disabled by a new blog theme I switched to (which didn't support tracking the footer).

So yesterday, I had a windfall of new subscribers for new site I'm working on. Considering I was only getting a dribble of traffic and about 2 subscribers per day for the past week (haven't worked on promotion much yet), I was elated to see that yesterday I had 14 new active subscribers...

...looks like a high traffic site must have republished an article or something.

However, I went into Google Analytics so I could check my traffic (and work out my sign up conversion rate) and it said I only had 1 visitor yesterday!

I checked Aweber and there are definitely valid new leads in my account, I looked at the names to check no duplicates or funny business.

So what gives? Do you ever have similar incongruences with Goog Analytics vs sales/subscribers/other actions?

Cheers,

Nick
