Quick question about master resell rights problem

1. I am looking to purchase a product with master resell rights. The product retails at 7 dollars and around 37 dollars if i purchase the rights.

The license makes no mention of whether i can give the book away as bonus with another paid product or that it is not permitted.

I have tried making contact with the author, but he has not responded to my messages posing this question.

What are your thoughts?

You have to be careful. If it doesn't give you giveaway rights in the blurb and you just assume or go ahead and start bundling, you're on dodgy ground. I'd hang on until you get a reply or look for a similar book that gives you what you want.

If it does not say then probably not allowed but like toonarme said, wait on the reply from the product owner. The product owner is the only one that can tell you...

Does the license agreement state exactly what you can do with the product in other ways?

If it gives a list of the things you can explicidly do, then to be safe, I would go with the assumption you cannot bundle it if that is not stated on the license with everything else.

Some people on the forum have questioned licensing agreements before, and claim that if it is not listed in the actual agreement, it can be used for whatever purpose.

BUT, I wouldn't trust those claims against law. It is best to check with the owner of said products, and if you cannot make contact with them, find a real lawyer and run it buy them.

I would keep trying to contact the author. Is there a minimum sales price listed anywhere? If not you could probably dodge the issue by doing the combo sale but instead of giving it away as a free bonus you offer it as an upsell for only $1 if they act immediately.
