Default Selling Custom-made Turnkey Niche Websites - Tips?

Hello Everybody,

Greetings of the Day!

I'm planning on offering custom services, in which I would be creating websites (with content) and doing some SEO work, etc. for a fair amount of money. These services are going to be unique to each of the buyers, and are essentially going to be high-ticket items (ranging from $67-$349) per project.

I'm trying to come up with sales generation ideas and am making a list of the same. This section of WF, however, is one of the best, thanks to all you members who have so much to (generously) share. I'd like your help in this venture of mine. If what I eventually start (which could be as early as the coming week) becomes a success, I might just give back something to this community, probably a blueprint or such.

Please help me with sales generation ideas, places and methods of promotion, etc.

Thanks, in advance

You can always give out a review copy or two. You have to get some testimonials. Also run a wso and the promote in all the major social networks.

To give out review copies would be difficult. However, I like the idea of running a WSO to generate some (promotional) sales and good testimonials. Thanks

Any more you Warriors can share here?

If you will offer quality websites people will buy them. Don't worry about that.

Be prepared to face some stiff competition. Most of the folks I know who did that have gone out of business recently because the market is flooded with people doing just this. Those who remain are often extremely cut throat. You almost have to be to make it doing turnkey sites. At least until you build a reputation.

Thanks for your replies guys. However, what I'm doing is not offering/selling a ready-made website. What I'm planning on doing is building a website based on the clients' requirements. Custom-made, as I said.

I did some calculations and saw that for a charge of around $249, I'd be offering value that's at least twice as much.

Do you have a portfolio built up? That can be a key method of promotion

I can agree with that, if the focus is on quality and exceeding peoples expectations then your customers will be your best source of promotion, you will not need find people they will find you.

I don't have a portfolio, but I'm considering building a site for myself, something in sync with what services I'll be offering as part of a typical project; and I believe that this 'model' site will also help me prove that my work earns money. What say? Would that be good?

I've been a content writer for over 3 years now, and have some testimonials to show. I raised this point, as (written) content will form more than 80% (or around that much) of a project I'll undertake.

Very true. Ever since I laid attention on learning how to make sales, I realised that it's very important to offer as much value as is humanly possible at a price that works well for both the parties.
