Default Anyone Use Traffic Exchanges? Did It Work?

So, being in the penis enlargement niche gaining traffic can be tough because so many sites won't allow these types of links. When a fellow warrior saw my post about this he came to me suggesting his own product for traffic exchanging.

His site: Massive Traffic X: Massive Targeted Website Traffic

Now, whether his program is the best choice in this area of traffic or not I don't know. But I'm really wondering if you can get any traffic that converts/is targeted through these methods. In fact, I'm not even sure exactly WHAT it is you'll be doing when using traffic exchange type sites.

Thanks in advance to any warriors who can give me some input on this,

- Brandon

Traffic Exchanges, for the most part, consist of a bunch of sites, linked to one site where all of the members (who want traffic for their own site) surf the other links posted to bank "credits" worth x number of views of their site from other members.

I can't vouch for this specific offer but turnover rates (views vs sales) are very, very, very low if there are any at all with this method. Your hitcounters will turn though.

Traffic exchanges dont work too well. People actually join traffic exchanges to get traffic to their sites.
So,the bounce rate is very very high.

When I first stared working online I was told to start getting traffic to my generic affiliate website. The only advice I was given was either use PPC or Traffic exchanges. Being new and not knowing any better I signed up for every traffic exchange i came accross. After 3 months and hundreds of hours of mindless clicking all I had to show for it was ciggarette stained fingers. Find someone willing to show you the right way to market a product any product even Penis Enlargement and you will have better results.

I have turned good profits using traffic exchanges but what you must remember that people on traffic exchanges are also marketers, mostly newbies. Advanced marketers in the IM, make money niche's also use them but usually in a totally different way.

Traffic exchanges can be tricky, some are worthless and scams but there is money to be made with traffic from traffic exchanges, I know first hand.

You seem to be a pretty smart guy, just read up on the subject of how they work and think of a few reasons people would be on a traffic exchange and offer them something they need, want and can't refuse.

*Traffic
*A way to make money

Just use your self as a guide, what are your goals in this business? What products or program would you give a shot and why? Your answers are the key's to making money with traffic exchanges, in a nut shell.

Yes some people will try to disregard your advertisement but if it' well laid out most people will eventually read what you have to offer if nothing else.

I believe your penis enlargment niche will be untargeted with traffic exchanges because most of the traffic is from other internet marketers trying to get traffic and to make money.

So "make money" or "how to build a list" is more targeted.

Traffic exchanges is unfortunately how i got started. Like people above have said, they generally will be a waste of time.

If you can convince ppl that you offer a better traffic solution, or a better way to make money than what they are promoting, you stand a slim chance.

From my own experiences, people on TE's jump from program (myself included)

Mainly because when you have so many tabs open surfing to get credits you begin to get discouraged and one offer always seems to stand out, only to be worthless.

my 2 cents. There are ppl that make money with them though. I managed to build a list of 20 using only TE's

Traffic exchange don't works well for me. The traffic are not targeted at all, it's just people who want to increase their traffic hit counter. Pretty useless if the traffic is not targeted.

I paid something like 80 dollars for one once which went to thousands and thousnads of emails....and didn't get one sign up, it COMPLETELY bombed.

I think it follows the good old rule of "if it seems too good to be true, it normally is"

CPMs are different though, but often quite expensive as they require a certain number, and would need serious testing. That's for when you're already making it and then can afford to experiment when wanting to scale up. I know Frank Kern talks about CPM quite a bit, or mail drops as I think he calls them.

KtMurf is right. Though I know nothing about the offer shown, Traffic Exchanges are the most time consuming way possible to get no sales.

Many of the exchanges really won't even count as traffic because of the way they present your pages.

Spending the time you would need surfing TEs writing articles instead, or creating massive backlinks is far more likely to bring buyers than any Traffic Exchange.

Bottom line, you can't name one single guru anywhere that built his business on traffic exchanges.

I personally do not think it is a good idea to participate in traffic exchanges. Maybe in short term there is many traffic coming to the website but don't think that will be quality traffic.

Being ranked well in search engine is a very powerful thing. There will be many free but targeted traffic. My understanding is that search engines tends to penalize sites that are involved in those traffic exchanges and the sites ranking will suffer greatly. This will be terrible.

Traffic exchanges attract freebie seekers. The only way you will get any results from them is to set up a squeeze page offering something free and get them to sign up, then you may have a slight chance in promoting your product.

I agree. You can build your list with a traffic exchange, but marketing an affiliate site directly is a waste of time.
