I've been debating about putting popups vs online forms for capturing email addresses on my sales page. I've been using online forms, but would appreciate any input as to what others may think. It seems like the online forms would be best, but again, that's only my opinion. Has anyone done any testing on this?? Thanks! Jenny |

I don't like pop-ups. I'm more on online forms.

When does your pop-up pop up? At the beginning when someone opens your webpage, or at the end when they are trying to leave? Has anyone tried the bottom of the screen pop-ups? These are ones that pop-up about an inch or so across the bottom of the page and therefore don't block content. :-Don

Wow, Thank you, everyone! Katie, I'm surprised at your stats (that popups were better), but this is why I asked! I guess that what I'm going to have to do is test myself - from online forms to popups, to popunders. It just may be different for each niche and salespage. Thank you! ![]() Jenny |

Hi Jenny, Lately I have been putting my optin forms right on the sales page. But I have done both. I have also combined both. I have a few sites with 2 inline forms and one pop up. I don't remember the stats but it worked well. Here is one of my sites using both: -Earn Huge Amounts of Money Selling Brand New eBooks & Software The pop up program I used is very easy and awesome. Its called instantpopover. Mike |

Mike - Great site!! Thanks for the idea. Think that's what I'm going to do. The popup hits people when they first get to the site, but then they can always optin after they close the popup. Love the idea!!! Thanks for the tip!! And Don, I haven't used popups yet, I was just trying to get an idea of what worked. I've always used online forms. But I think I'm going to try Mike's idea of both a popup and an online form. That would really be combining the best of both worlds! |

Great Golf Guides - Improve your Golf Game Once I got my hands on the program instantpopover I went a little nuts with it and used it on a bunch of my sites. I also used it without optin on my free squeeze pages site in my sig. Mike

Pop up are ideal depending on how you use it, I have noticed one thing with pop ups they tend to convert more than when they are on the pages, yes agreed pop ups can be annoying but when it comes to web pages that require a sale the best form of pop ups will be does when some one is about to leave a page and you throw them a one in a life time offer, boy you will hit hard with it
