Help me choose which products I need, please

Have been working on building 2 websites for about 1-1/2 years, learning as I go. My sites are with Site Build It which makes it very easy to do.
Now I want to start something else. My main interest is in building mini niche sites but I am totally overwhelmed with all the information.
What would you consider to be the best info. sources, software, etc.?
It seems like there is just too much out there and very difficult to weed through. Could go broke very easily. Would like to gather a potent arsenal of products without the fluff. Thanks, Linda

Would recommend to get to know and use wordpress, not the free version or the .wordpress.com version.

    Host it yourself.

You're already here. Just use the "Search" feature to track down the info you need.

Actually, a better place to start may be the All-in-One threads:

And, a lot of the things you'll end up using are free. WordPress is a good example.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

There are alot of PLR's that you can buy and edit to make them your own.
that can save you a lot of time and money.
