Default Man, I'm Mad, I think I've been Had.

Ok, So here I am trying my hand at Building some kind of Internet Empire. I'm one of those guys that is probably on every marketer's list known to man, purchased so much stuff I got 2 hard drives and 3 8gb flash drive full of stuff.

So the other day I'm crusing around a few sites and found a site that was giving away a free book only pay shipping, It seemed to be a good read and I figured "Why not?"

Now I'm not a totally newbie, I know the art of the upsell and OTO's,etc. But i wasn't going this time, just wanted the book, there was some offer that was like $497 or something.

I declined it processed the payment, and thought I was Gucci, then i got my statement and there was a $249 charge in 2 payment, plus the free book, I was like HELL NAW!!!

So I emailed them to let them know of the mistake and I received a confirmation that they refunded me. Well I got the book, reading it , Its not bad, Seen some of the information before.

Then I go and check my bank account, I am short $249 dollar, I do not see a chargeback, refund, or a kiss my butt note. I emailed them again, and this woman tells me, that the funds left their account and they could do nothing else for me, exact words.

What kind of Customer service is that? Have you guys every been done like that. I am not going to give the sites name or anything like that, i still need to talk to my bank. and see if maybe its just taking a little longer. But its been a few days now.

Sorry for the rant and apologize if it was not suppose to be here, but i guess there is a lesson to learn about just trusting a Nice Site and a Smile.

Take care
Jeff Anderson.

So they took another $249 out? Or was it just the first charge that wasn't put back after they said they refunded you?

Contact your bank, it could also be that the refund has not showed up yet.

Hey Jeff, don't panic just yet. It usually takes a few days for a credit to show on your bank statement. They may have refunded, and if they did it will appear in a few days. You can easily verify beforehand by calling your bank. Good luck!

Yeah, i am actually going down there to find out. Just that customer service person
kinda rubbed me the wrong way. But hopefully that is all it is. I don't it was intentional
but when every dollar counts, that is a big blow to sustain,

It takes a few days. If it is not handled within 7 days then I would move to the next step.

Obvious avoidment of good customer service. Not leaving a very good impression are they? I also hate poor customer service and as of late poor customer service has failed many out there on profiting from me.

If they knew business they'd understand customer service is the part of business that creates long lasting revenue. You'll obviously not purchase from them again... silly isn't it.

I want a good keyword researcher, not for min sites but for tech articles. Hit me up if you've got those skillz!

Hey Jeff, as the others have said, it'll probably take some time. I know when I use a debit card at certain gas stations they put a big chunk of money on hold and sometimes it seems like I could go on a world cruise before the money is released from hold.

One other thing man, you've got serious talent as a writer. No lie. I was glued to the page reading your post. You're very engaging and have a certain flow and earthy style that could make you some good money if you developed it a bit.

It's raw, natural skill and it's the MAIN thing missing from so many people who want to become copywriters, and you've got it. I'd bet anything you like writing. You should run with it. Good luck with the bank thingy!

Once the merchant has issued the refund and once their credit/debit card processor or bank has done the same, it's out of their hands. They cannot do anything more. It may very well be your bank that is holding it up. Some will hold it for several days.

The merchant has no control over your bank or when your bank gets the funds back to you.

It certainly is frustrating but, assuming the merchant has issued the refund like they said they did, you should be upset with your bank for not crediting your account promptly.

Thank you so much for the praise on my writing style, actually I try to write the same way as if i was talking in person to someone, I never considered myself a writer, But i definately do like it when its something that interests me, Or if i get a little Riled up
as i was when they jacked my account. :-)

So my Saga just continues to get gooderer and gooderer(I know those are not words so chill, I need to make myself laugh here.)

I talked to my bank to see if they had refunded my niblets back to my account, well they did but because of them, My fracking account was overdrawn, I used that account mostly to pay bills, so i had some other things coming out and they were declined.

I said "KISS MY A$$$$" I was HOT, in speaking with my bank had they not done this, my account would have been fine, so they in turn have cost me $132.

Do you think they would compensate me for this, since this was of their doing, my bank gave me a statement showing that had they not done this, I would have been fine.
So i had to withdraw monies from my other account to get this one back in the black.

Welp, Live and learn i reckon.

Regards,
Jeff Anderson
