I would spend more time helping others in need...but not just by giving them things (which I would do if needed), but rather teaching them how to be successful.

I would watch my kids grow and spend more time with my family. I'd also create comic books and picture books (which I could do now, it just takes a lot of time).

Working on getting their via IM, but until I do it's great to keep the dream alive!

Exactly what I do today.

Treat kids with heart defects. Raise funds to make it possible.
Spread awareness about the problem.

Many years ago, I asked and answered the difficult question - and
aligned all else with the answer.

Steve Jobs' Stanford commencement lecture was of great help in
deciding to take a plunge and make that change.

Text of Steve Jobs' Commencement address (2005)

Specifically, this bit:

Quote:
"... for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."

The obvious answer is "anything I want" - but I'm looking for more detailed answers.

Many people say that they want to achieve financial freedom, but don't have an idea what they'd do with all that "freedom."

Spelling it out helps you visualize and get closer to attaining your goal.

So, if you sleep 8 hours a day, what would you do with the other 16 hours?
Singing, dancing, spending time with my boyfriend till he gets enough of me and live a Paris Hilton life style... oh and drinking champagne all day....need to know more?

Oh by the way I'm serious

I'd make lots of art photography exhibitions and donate a lot of my money to people who need our help.
That's the main reason why I want to make a lot of money. To help others that have bigger problems than achieving financial freedom.
Besides that I love photography ;-)

I happen to know of a large company here in my area who have a lot of almost-done stuff which will never get done unless someone else does it. The company honestly has better things to do.

So I'd like to start a company for the express purpose of finishing that company's unfinished internal projects.

I actually retired in 2001 and don't need the money, so was looking forward to kicking back, pursuing hobbies and traveling.

I lasted maybe 4 weeks before I started going insane and taking everyone with me

I've learned since then that I need real challenges to be satisfied with my life. The money itself is incidental...I give most of it away anyways

For me, it's not the end result, but the road travelled in getting there that keeps me in the game.

If I did not have to make money, I would make money. When I had
enough money for me, I'd create the "BobsStuff Foundation" and
help others.

I am 66 and in a position where I "could" retire to the couch.
NOT something I would ever want to do. I would love to work
until I'm about 95 and then go into semi-retirement.

I am happiest when I have 8 hours of work to do and a place
to go to do it. NO, not working for someone else, working for
myself. I have not worked for a "boss" since 1995.

No, I am not a workaholic, but can be. I enjoy travel, the
beach, the mountains, RV camping. One needs to take time to
smell the roses, but one also needs purpose in their life.

Would play Golf every day. Right now, play three times a week unless its raining, so can't be doing that bad. Also, like to go fishing, but if I had all that money would buy the fish and keep on swinging.

From my "if money were no object", what would I be doing/what would my ideal life be like page in my goals notebook (some of it, anyway)

Perfect continuing health
traveling wherever and whenever id like
daily sauna in my home
able to live off investments with ease
no debt
at least 2 houses, paid for, one each in two different countries/oceanside and mountainside
Daily walks
Ride horses often
learning new things throughout my life/paragliding, some dances, 2 or 3 languages

And it goes on like that.

Only dead fish go with the flow.

My experience has been that we enjoy our favourite things because we can't do them very often. You'd soon get bored if all you did was play all day.

At the moment, I have the freedom to do anything I want. And, I mostly end up doing something productive, like sharing information and helping people here, or something work-related like writing my personal development blog and creating "special reports."

So, in other words, I can do whatever I want and I'm choosing to work.

By the way, I commend many of you who would do charitable and philanthropic work. And, if I may, I'd like to remind you that you can do that right now by either "making" time, or in your spare time. (The same applies to many other people's answers.)

I'm going to be doing some charitable work soon and I'm really looking forward to it.

Travel, lounge around with my boyfriend, spend lots of quality time with my son, volunteer, play the piano more often, go to the gym every day, learn to play tennis, learn to cook, learn a new language, shop, read lots of books.

I do a lot of these anyway, just not as much as I would like. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.

Oh yeah... if I didn't have to work, I think I would like to go back to school and get a BA in English or Political Science. Purely to expand my knowledge and grow intellectually.

I would buy a run down resort in Tahiti and do it up. I would live there and run the resort myself.

I would buy horses and keep them there.

I would become more involved in bringing awareness to child abuse and trying to prevent it.

I would also learn how to scuba dive.

I would hike as much as possible.

I would also continue to mess around online!

Travel... I want to visit all the places any of my ancestors walked. I would visit all the Theme parks and museums I could.

Read ... I love to read books on business.

The Beach ... Love relaxing and taking in the sights and smells

Food ... eating at good restaurants

Exercise ... getting the perfect body, I would have more time to work on it. This probably conflicts with the previous goal.

Learning ... languages, etc.

Shopping ... cars, clothes, etc.

Children.. a lot of time would be spent helping the kids learn and spending time to play with them

Action is the foundational key to all success. - Pablo Picasso

This is what I'm creating. Writing my books, and creating more video trainings. From the estate in Sedona or the beach retreat in Kauai.

(Take a few minutes "being" in the experience to give your subconscious mind the clear instruction on what you're telling it to filter for, and manifest.)

Warmly,

I guess there's no right or wrong answer here, and you can't give any specific answer such as "spending time with family" or "enroll golf classes" because you can already do that while having a normal working life.

Quite frankly, if I had a few millions sitting on my bank account, I dont see my life changing that much at all. I would still visit my parents' for our weekend BBQ, I'd still hang out with my old pals to drink a beer and watch the match, I'd still cook my own lunch, etc... nop, I don't see my life changing that much if I didn't have to work.

This is a very good question.

Personally I'd study and Blog. I know people who would do their leisure activities full time, some people would write and use the money to publish their own work.

How many Warriors who love this activity would continue to do it anyway?

John Reese was a self made millionaire before he started many of his IM projects.

Great question Ron.
I guess most of my time would be spent on discovering new countries and meeting interesting people. Some kind of charity related work would surely help us contribute the community. Not just local but worldwide.
And ... yes, I would teach others how to achieve the same.

I would snowboard, skateboard, surf, wake board, go on adventure trips with friends, travel all over the world, meet interesting people and just have a blast. If money wasn't an issue I would probably sleep less.
