Yes, these people are getting our skype names from here. This happened to me the other day.

    Just block and report them.

yeah that happened to me, somebody sent a contact request and before it I even had a chance to check what is was or if it was somebody I knew,

My virus protection poped up and warned me about a serious threat being block, it was like the higest level alert according to my virus protection.

I was able to block the nut case but it did not prompt me to mark it as spam???

      ~Michael

Skype must be the only service that doesn't make easy to report spam...lol
Hell, on Yahoo or nearly any of other platform you can do it so easily,
you might do it by accident.

Ya, it should prompt you after blocking the person.

Could it be that my Pop Up blocker, blocked it?

            I don't think so...

I think your pop blocker is a part of your browser, unless you have some sort of software that blocks popups on your system, lol.

I'm sure people will report them after seeing this thread.

Michael, I got that one the other day. When you select the option to block someone, there is a little check box option to report them for abuse at the same time. It's all on the same frame so both options should be there for you.

Skype is bad for spam, isn't it? I've had to block/report someone just about every day.

                Not when I blocked it.
I even unblocked it and went back through the motions just to make sure.

I just joined skype myself. Have not even used it except to block the spam I get. For me it prompted when I blocked to report as spam. IDK much about the system yet. too new at it myself.

I get used to such emails and just ignore them.

I have had banks(?) I have never dealt with telling me I need to update my account. Latest was suppsoed to be from my internet provider. I just ingore them.

Mind you, the people that keep send me emails saying I need to "enlarge" and last longer are really starting to get annoying. I mean, how did they know?
