Whats the best way to promote a WSO?

I'm thinking about posting a WSO and wondered what the best way to promote it was?

I did a search and after 4 pages of threads i was surprised I didn't come across a post like this

This will be my first WSO so thanks for any advice?

In what sense are you struggling with? Can you give more detail?

Hi,

There are many ways you can promote a WSO.

In fact, every marketer of the 60 marketers I known
has his or her own unique style. And every method works
and are successful in their own ways.

3 fundamental rules to follow:
1. make sure your wso is what people want

(Just do your research from the main thread and
based on the "views", you can roughly know how
popular that topic is)

2. Give value

(Price is secondary. As what Jason Fladlein taught me,
do not lower your price, increase your offer.
If it is going to be a crappy product, people will ask for
refund.

If it is a good product, you have repeated customer and
a good name in the forum.)

3. Check out successful marketers to model.

(Personally I am a big fan of John Taylor, Jeremy
Kelsall, Angela Edwards. These people are high performers
when it comes to promoting WSOs.)

If you plan on having a long term WSO here are some things you can do...

* Bookmark the WSO
* Promote the WSO to your list
* Create several blog post around your WSO and then bookmark the blog post and submit the Rss Feeds
* If you have articles on article directories and that article is related to your WSO you can use one of the links (most directories allow 2 links) to link to your WSO
* Create a free WSO giving away a report - In this report it will have a link to your main WSO. The report obviously should be related. This will help build a list and promote your main WSO

There are other things you can do but that is a great start there..
