Yahoo Answers Tip

Hi Warriors

Here is a Yahoo Answers tip for anybody that is interested.

You need to sign up for a YA account if you do not have one already.

I've found a way to get some best answers to my account fairly easily.

Why would I want to do this?

Because it would be a way of making me appear as an expert in my field.

Method:

Obviously you need to answer questions.

Find questions in your niche and click on the 'oldest questions first' button.
Then choose questions that have only a maximum of 6 answers.
Some of the questions will only have minutes or hours to go. That is ideal.

Go back to the questions later and vote on your own answer as the best answer. Yes you can do that.

For what reason would you do that?

Because there is a good chance that you would be the only voter.
And hence you will get to be the best answerer for that particular question!

Another reason for doing this is to get more traffic to your site.
Warning DO NOT put your website in every answer you submit.
This is considered spam by YA

Your website, if related to the answer of course, would be inserted in the resource section of your answer.

Since I realized this method, my best answer rate as gone up to 44% of my total answers. From a 10% best answer rate.

Extra traffic to my site is not a huge amount, but I am still finding the best ways to optimize this.

Yahoo answers are good source for driving free traffic to website.

I'm pleased that some Warriors have found the tip useful.
It is also worth remembering that if you log in to YA every day you will gain an extra 365/6 points in the year for no work apart from your login.

Yes I have been doing YA too and had the sense enough to answer some questions without my URL in them. But that is a great tip about the voting thing! I'll have to try it again tomorrow when I can answer more questions. I'm at my limit for today.

Hey, mine won't let me vote on my own! Maybe I have to log out??

Nope, I logged out and tried it and it asked me to login. What level are you at? I'm a level 2.
