Hi there Just been exploring MNF! I have come across one keyword phrase which the SOC (strength of competition) gives a green light for (with '0' as the number next to the green light). It's stats are as follows: local search count 18,100 global search count 27,100 Further analysis of SOC says: inanchor count 321 intitle count 650 inurl count 234 I know that a green light is a 'Go', but what do you think of these other stats? Is it really a 'Go'?? |

Depends on how good your SEO skills are. To begin with if your URL has the keyword in it, and you can do a massive backlink campaign you can overcome those obstacles, it is the ones you don't see that may get you. How many articles with perfectly scattered keyword density are on the sites? how good is the LSI? etc. It would appear at least a few sites know what they are doing, but as long as you can beat all but 4, you still get above the fold on 1st page and position 3-5 is better than 1 anyway. To decide, look at the top 5 sites for that keyword in Google, Bing and Yahoo and think to yourself, "Can I beat them?" If yes, go for it, if no, don't. |

tyson4, if you want, I'm testing a new tool I developed and method for this type of research (A branch off from my longtail tool). PM me the keyword and I'll tell you my analysis. I can assure you the keyword will remain confidential and will not be used.

An SOC of zero and that much search volume? Hell YES you need to jump all over it! Double check by doing a Google search of that term, but if it looks like MNF is correct, you should be able to get on Page 1 easily and probably in the Top 3 with very little link building. I've always found that to be the case with '0' SOC keywords I've found using MNF. Go for it. John |
