I don't know if it's made much of an impact on the number of posts being made, but I can tell you that the ratio of replies to views is still roughly the same as the old forum at about 1:10

Hi,

I've been watching those stats. Also very interesting to note is the number of members in each forum.

The first time I noticed the number of visitors in the forums there were were 450 in the main forum and 420 in the WSO forum.

I concluded by that that there would always be more in the main forum. Wrong....

Checking back several times there were actually more in the WSO forum than the Main forum.

I've seen as many as almost 500 in the WSO forum. It would be interesting to note the times of day this happens and launch WSOs accordingly.

Hi

Does the number of users online at any given time actually tell you anything though?

When I start on my computer in the mornings I log into WF and several other sites and spend maybe 15 mins in each. I then leave them all minimised all day and dip in and out when I have spare time. Although it's showing me online I'm not always in the forum.

I wonder how many other people do this?

I expect a lot of people do the same.

However, when you see a list like the one here you KNOW it's an active forum. I've seen forums where there were 12 people visiting...or less.

Also, not everyone has their User CP set to display their name when they are online here.

When I start on my computer in the mornings I log into WF and several other sites and spend maybe 15 mins in each. I then leave them all minimised all day and dip in and out when I have spare time. Although it's showing me online I'm not always in the forum. I wonder how many other people do this? Mary

However, when you see a list like the one here you KNOW it's an active forum. I've seen forums where there were 12 people visiting...or less. Also, not everyone has their User CP set to display their name when they are online here. kay
