Hello,
Recently I have become drawn to the idea of starting a PLR membership site. I hear a lot of good things about PLR, about how it's a "gold mine" if used properly. However it seems like these sites are a dime a dozen. Do people really care about more PLR? I have a feeling that if I started a PLR site, I wouldn't exactly be seeing people flocking in droves to download my stuff. Most likely they'd think, "Oh, another PLR site. Wow." How could I stand out? My intention would be to write/rewrite around 50 articles every month, making sure that they are very high quality and 100% original. I'd charge around $14 per month for access to these articles, and probably offer the first month free as a way to attract members. I would like to hear from others who have been involved with PLR and what your experiences have been. Have you had success with it? Thanks! MurphSmurf |

Pick A Broad Niche, say Dog Training. I'd say charge $19.99 for the membership and close the membership when 100 people join. So, that's $1,999 per month. Now, pay someone $15/article to write the articles. That's $750/month. That's like $1,250/month in profit. Move onto some other niche. How to stand out? That's up to you to decide. But, you can sure beat the "Oh, another PLR site. Wow." thought by making it niche targeted.

It's all about arbitrage when it comes to PLR membership sites. There is SO MUCH crap PLR our there that people would be willing to pay for good quality material.. The trick would be offering it in limited quantity to make it more valuable.
It's numbers game though, how much are you willing to invest in the PLR, and how well can you market your site to perspective buyers. |

One idea that might be worthwhile is to offer PLR that is delivered in a "spinnable" format. A silly example:

One thing I'm not certain about is just HOW easy it would be to reach the 100 members mark. I know we're not allowed to post WSOs about PLR memberships, so that rules that out. I think that would probably be the only hurdle to get over. Once that is reached, you could simply repeat the process over and over again, making for a very nice continuous income stream. This is actually a really good idea. It would take some extra work but it would probably be worth it. Thanks for sharing!

If you do go down this road, don't offer re-written articles. If people are paying for quality work, then make sure it is brand new. People can spot re-written articles.
You can promote PLR membership sites here but only if you are the creator of the PLR, not having bought it from a wholesaler. If you hire a writer and get exclusive rights that is the same as writing it yourself. |
