Default WARNING: Scam tactics you should be aware of.

Just got a mail from a fellow marketer, and he sowed me a really nasty tactic that's praying on new/newbie internet marketers right now.

Yes, Flogs are definitely the scourge of the internet right now. A lot of the CPA heavy-hitters are using them to make TONS of money...mainly because they are VERY convincing to the uninitiated.

The FTC is cracking down...but I doubt every single one of these scammers will be caught.

In a weird way, i feel that the FTC is behind all of this...

But that is just me...

So don't listen, because I'm crazy.

Yes, seen these around everywhere lately. Pure scam artists, they use fake picstures, fake testimonials, fake everything. I think the most common one i have seen is the "Make money posting links on Google".

Now im just counting down until this thread is pulled.

*HINT* they dont like us talking about scams here...

1,2,3,4,5,6,7.....

This information is seen on CNN, MSNBC, etc because they have articles about flogs like this.

Secondly, I don't think Mr. Whipple ever managed a grocery store or that the Maytag repairman was really lonely. Whatta Scam!!!

Interesting.
The problem is the time it takes authorities to investigate this type of activity and start the process to close it down. By the time the FTC or whoever shuts them down, they have made their millions, bilked thousands out of their money and moved on to another site and another scam.

To me it is like drug dealers. Report one and the police investigate and try to find the "big boys" for 2 or three years and then shut down the drug house in your neighborhood. In the meantime neighborhood has become a drug haven.

It takes too long to shut illegal activity down.
