Hi there, I am PPC marketer, starting with SEO stuff. I came across trafficbooster.org. The guy is explaining how to get thousands of Doorway pages for your index page. And hence thousands of visitors to your index page via doorway pages. Now I have two questions: 1. Is it good way to get traffic while doing SEO (I mean through Doorway pages). 2. Has anyone used this website's services. How one can drive so much of traffic as claimed at the website. Thanks, Dharmender Badwal |

I've done SEO for years. I can't say I've really tried doorway pages, it was a really old technique and I've read a lot of bad things about it, so it put me off. Doorway pages are intentended to rank for just one term each and then send visitors to your main page, however I think they are very unlikely to rank well or even get indexed because: - You need unique content for each one, otherwise why should Google bother ranking it well in the first place? Doorway page generators tend to make very similar looking pages with duplicate content. - Each page needs links building to it to do reasonably well, trafficbooster doesn't mention any technique for this. - It looks like trafficbooster creates very thin sites, with very little content, Google is reluctant to index one page sites I know this from experience. There are more things I can think up, but it seems unlikely to work. Having said that I've never really experimented. If you want to experiment and have the cash you can try it and see what kind of results you get. Don't keep your hopes up though. |

No one has the ONE answer you are looking for when it comes to bossting traffic and earning money online. I have never spent a penny on advertising for my sites and whilst it takes about 2 years to get my sites earning serious money it is well worth it. I look at any site as a long term investment, so stick with do follow blogging and forum posting, article submission and press releases. Don't just focu on one methd as this will simply not deliver

I'm not familiar with trafficbooster.org, but I've used RSSGM (Really Simple Site Generator Modified) and YACG (Yet Another Content Generator) Really Simple Site Generator Modified | Get Really Simple Site Generator Modified at SourceForge.net Yet Another Content Generator RSSGM is generally considered 'old and busted' whilst YACG is the 'new hotness.' Either way I haven't done much with doorways since Google nerfed the content network. I suppose you could use doorways to get users to a membership or CPA site, but I just cannot see it being as efficient as other methods. Doorway building isn't easy. If you want to be successful at it, it is a full time job. I would spent 6-8 hours a day putting up sites and researching keywords in order to get traffic. Shoot me a PM if you want some more info on those products and how to use them, but I can't really recommend this as a good way to go about building traffic to a modern site. |

Wow are doorway pages coming back? Have not heard that term in ages. LOL I had a doorway page software way back when they first came out that was ranked in top 10 for most of the top search engines. LOL Maybe I should dust off the cobwebs.

Anyway, in my opinion I think if you're going to do SEO then don't try any shortcuts. Great SEO is hard work at first, but it can certainly pay big dividends in the long-term. The best thing to do is keep everything very relevant from keywords to website content to back links. Best of luck! - Tommy | |

If you want kicked out of google then be my guest and create doorway pages.. This is the thing many people get confused on about dup content.. Doorway pages is what google will give you a penalty for. Doorway pages was a way for many to take advantage of the search engines years and years ago. They have been frowned upon by many search engines ever since. If you see anyone telling you to use then, run .... and run far far away... James |

Question...i think my website was caught for doorway pages even though i didn't know i was doing anything wrong...but after a few hours of researching i think this is why my site was deindexed ...i've been deindexed since last friday...i just redirected all my doorway pages to my main page...i had 3 doorway pages...do you think my website will be reindexed quickly or should i be a little more proactive with this?

Yeah, redirects are still frowned upon but nowadays people are making doorway pages that are more like standalone landing pages and each one acts as a lead gen page or Adsense page in itself so there's no need to automatically redirect clicks or even link to your money site/page at all. RSS feeds and spinnable syntax as well as the use of tokens enables unique content and has renewed this strategy for SEO. (if you know how to carefully approach it) ![]() Want proof?...check out the sample site for trafficbooster.org Huge Keyword Lists Instructional Videos It has a bunch of doorway pages on it such as http://doorwaypages.info/Doorway-Page-Generator.php and that site is NOT delisted. As a matter of fact, both URLs above rank in the top 25 for their targeted keyword. Quote:

| DO NOT USE DOORWAY PAGES They stopped working in the 90's and haven't worked since. It's only a matter of time before it hurts you. Spend your time providing quality content instead, Google will reward you for it. |

There may be some disagreement on verbiage here as well as what the search engines did not allow in the past. Though they are called "doorway pages" this strategy looks more like an autoblogger that generates content for a specific keyword. Unlike an autoblogger, the old doorway pages would use redirects, cloaking, unintelligible content, etc. and true enough that was and still is a bad approach. Here's another example of proof of this new approach. Go to site:cafepress.com - Google Search See all of those pages for CafePress.com? Over 100 million!! of them. Guess what?....almost all of them are essentially SEO "doorway pages." (or nowadays they are sometimes called "key pages" or "category pages"...whatever ) The point is they all look alike and they are all SEO optimized for a specific keyword.Another example?...when you click on a specific tag in a tag cloud on a blog it will take you to a page with posts that are all related to that specific tag/keyword. If you are autoblogging, the number of tags and pages could be huge. Those pages all use the same blog template and share a lot of the same content as other tag pages but search engines are NOT going to deindex or sandbox a site for that. I guess I would say, before anyone says "Don't do it!" they should provide more concrete information to support their point....way too much conjecture on this forum. I've demonstrated my argument with 3 separate use cases so I think it is pretty solid, but once again to clarify, the old automatic redirect tactic, cloaking, and spammy content is NOT the correct approach here but adding loads of targeted, content rich pages to your site is fine. |

Yeah, that was what I was getting at....the same name is used but the strategy is different than the old approach. That is why I bifurcated the old tactics and acknowledged them as still being bad. It is usually the other way around...in that there's a new name but the same old strategy. This WSO is pushing something similar....Does 60,000 Webpages = 60,000 Visitors/Month? |
