I Think Maybe I'll Not Give Up Yet

With all the threads this weekend with people (seemingly) throwing in the towel, it seems like it might be a good time to not give up.

While I certainly don't wish anyone to fail, and want for others to succeed in IM, all the dropping out just means one thing: less competition.

I imagine that, for every one person that posts, there are 10 more people thinking the same thing that don't post. Maybe more.

So, just this weekend, there's a good number of people getting out of IM in whatever niches they were in. And that means less competition for those who stick it out.

Unless, of course, newbies jump in, thinking it's a good time to jump in when competition is leveling off.

Maybe you just can't win.

      My thoughts exactly.

In my life there have been many times I've felt like giving up...for about 5 minutes.

Then I just got my head right back in the game....thinking about how I could help other people.

If you're thinking about giving up all the time you're way too focused on yourself and your own problems instead of focusing on helping others solve their problems.

      Kindest regards,

Giving up is what you do when you die. If you're not dead then you keep trying. Geesh!

    Hard work??? Nooooooooo!

@Dan... conversely, there seem to be a number of "50 million dollars by Christmas!" threads this weekend, too. Just wait for the "$50 mill by Christmas... watch over my shoulder..." threads! :p

I always enjoy the "How to..." threads where you'll learn how to make $50 mill by Christmas, only the report won't be available until New Year's. Gee. Thanks.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

It should be required for the give up type poster to at least tell us what niche they are leaving .

I would agree with your post, Dan..

    IF

The "competition" you speak of, was actually worth worrying about in the first place.

90% (guessing here!) of the people who are planning to give up, drop out and leave this industry, probably never even made it onto your radar as competition when digging into a niche.

So, maybe they are stopping themselves from becoming competition in the future, but right now... they were as insignificant as we all are

    Peace

This seems to me to be a tough business to perfect. I have made a few dollors here and a few there. Right when I want to give up a site of mine will make me some money and make me feel I can do this. So I am going to keep going at it and hope one day it will all just click. Good Luck to ya,.

People getting into IM believe the hype that you can come in...put up a sales page and make $1000 the first hour.

Then when they find out they have to work some they realize it's not as easy as they were led to believe then they give up without trying to find out how to do it the right way.

      Nothing comes easy.

Usually people ask themselves this question: "Should I continue?... Is it worth it?"
The question you have to ask yourself is "why do I want to give up?"

If you don't have a strong valid reason for ggving up, then don't!

in the words of Energizer, "Never Say Die!"
in the words of Nike, "JDI".

Unfortunately there are deperate people out there who have been separated from their hard earned cash by 'Make $5000 a month from home' scams. They only realize the IM like anything else needs alot of hard work and dedication to be profitable.
