Default Where Can I Find Market Data (Ecommerce)?

Is there a website that shows market data for ecommerce?

For example, for product "X" there is a $1 billion market in which company "Y" has 25% market share and total sales are "Z".

Not exactly what you see above - but you get the point

Just some accurate data about a market...

For the most part, you'll have to pay for those sorts of due diligence reports from companies like Forrester Research. Unfortunately, their reports are not cheap (most are $1,000+) and often times will require someone with a background in economic analysis to fully understand. You also have to consider that privately held companies often won't publish their revenue or sales statistics. Depending on the market you're looking to research, you may be missing out of a large piece of the puzzle if the only data you have available is what is held in the public record.

check out
Stats - ClickZ
Hitwise Intelligence - Analyst Weblogs

these two sites can give you enough stats for free - beyond that you might have to use a paid service like Comscore, Forrestor, Marketing Sherpa...

For publicly held companies, I'd use a one-two combination.

1. Get stats on the market as a whole from a combination of trade associations and the government.

2. Get stats on individual companies from their annual reports and other mandatory filings.

For privately held companies, you're looking at some guesswork.

emarketer looks good.

Your site ranking can go from 100+ to Page 1 in one month. Don't try my service or you will be hooked!
