I am using a WP theme that is exactly what I want. However, the title of the posts don't appear under the category in the sidebar, it just shows the number of posts. Is there any way that I can (easily...) show a list of titles under the category without having to change the theme? It has taken ages to find the right one. It is a very simple two column theme. Is there any code that I can add to the sidebar html that will make the titles show? I am technically challenged so it will have to be simple. Thank You Karen |

You can do it by going to appearances, and then widgets. You can then customize the side bare to your liking. One of the drag and drop options is categories. Shannon |

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I have the 'categories' in the sidebar, but when I have added a post, the title of the post doesn't appear as a list under the category as it does in some of the other themes that I've used. It just says: Category (6) - no titles are listed. I'm not sure if I've explained it properly. Thanks Karen |

Go to 'appearance' then to 'widgets' then chose the widget that says 'recent posts' and drag to your desired position in your side bar. You may have to scroll to the bottom of the widgets page where it shows 'inactive widgets'. If its there, just drag it to your side bar. |

I'm guessing it's a theme specific thing. I just tried it in my usual theme and, like you said, it will show post numbers, but not post names. Just found this http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/category-posts/ - don't know if that will do what you want. |
