Wanna quit? Have fears? Come here, I have something for you...

Hey Warriors,

I'm doing this in response to several things I've seen lately here
in the forum. The particulars are of no important concern.

I've been on a long road in online marketing. Wild successes,
brutal lessons.

If you're new, or maybe been around a little while, and you're
feeling like you're getting your butt handed to you - I have
something for you.

A treat...

If you think you have fear of this, fear of that... success, failure.

If you're wondering if you're cut-out for this business, if you can
go on. Wondering what to do next.

Have difficulties getting motivated?

Unsure about your priorities?

Not sure where, or how, to start?

What I have for you is not mine, but I'm at complete liberty to offer
it to you. It is an ebook. There is no charge for it.

Before you roll your eyes or slam your bs detector to max sensitivity...

Stop. Relax.

This ebook is over 100 pages in length. It was written by a guy who's
been around, made his living online since the late 90's. Perhaps he may
be able to offer some words of wisdom for you.

He can.

I know because I've read this ebook. It has solid value, honest advice
and actionable suggestions for you. He begins with your mind and leads
you to the material, marketing world.

If you are new to this marketing game, the best thing you can do for
your self is get this and read it. Then...

Put what you have read into action. You know this is true.

TalkBiz News: What you really need to know to succeed online - Online business building newsletter

(Be sure to read Chapter Zero.)

This is my gift to you. One day you will want to thank me. So I will say,
"You're welcome," now.

Go... go on and do it.

No more posts about wanting to quit.

Come back here and tell me what you think about the ebook AFTER you
have read it.

Thank goodness this ebook falls into the 1% category - in my opinion.

Thats the reason that ppl are much more comfortable is spending $$ than downloading free stuff these days. Cause the pain to fill in an opt in page and then subscribe, unsubscribe....etc....is in itself a huge cost to pay....
      Pain? A huge cost?

      Interesting.

However I am glad that I downloaded your eBook. I have been in the IM niche for the past few years so there was nothing ground breaking for me in it - but nevertheless I appreciate the Author for writing in a beautiful way and leading people to the right path. Most eBooks these days simply focus on some short term money making method - this one stands out as it conveys a beautiful message and constructs a systematic pathway to online success.
Correction: This is not my ebook.

It motivates you, it guides you - it enlightens you!

I am sure that inferior ebooks than this have been sold for $7 odd dollars at the WSO.

      Final Verdict -

If you are struggling to make money online (or) if you're starting to doubt the make money online world - THIS WILL BE A LIFE SAVER.

If you've been here for some time and you know the stuff somewhat - you won't find anything new in it. In fact, u'd not even be motivated to read the 100+ pages because most of the info you would have already read at a free blog or learnt through trial and error.

      For a free ebook - I give it 9/10
There was a thread, probably several, concerning the topic of what's
new, or not, in this world.

I believe my post attempted to qualify the ebook for those who
are new, or of little experience, and having difficulty.

If anyone feels they know "the stuff" somewhat, and have no desire
to seek out on their own something that just may provide something
good, then that is their prerogative.

I do think you are doing a disservice to forum members by suggesting,
or presuming to know what people have read for free online.

But I do thank you for offering your thoughts about the matter.

Ken, I was looking for something to motivate a mate who wants to chuck it in. And I thought maybe you had something for him. Imagine my disappointment to find that you've led me to Paul Myers' ebook "Need to Know" - which is alright but there's nothing earth-moving in there IMHO. And it's an opt-in. So that's a double disappointment. Don't do it again.

Your disappointment? Nothing earth moving "in your humble opinion"?

Well, how about letting your friend decide these things for him/her self?

      Novel idea, huh?

An opt-in. How painful. Here's an idea, mate...

      Opt-in, get the ebook, then opt-out. I know that's a painful amount
of work, for some. But if it is, then maybe you should tell your friend to
      just chuck it in.

          Hi...

I was not angry about it. Not at all. Yes, I understand. Too

I have a polite request for all the experienced forum members, here.

Obviously there are many people in this forum who are not as experienced
or successful as some of you. So how about if you refrain from posting
negative or otherwise sarcastic comments about this?

    Can you do that?

    I'd appreciate it.

I think it would be... polite and respectful... to allow those who are not
as knowledgeable as you to find out on their own.

    Thanks very much.

    Hi Ken,

    My name is Gavin.

I thought I'd take the time to introduce myself, because I'm very grateful that you posted a link to this book. Thanks!

This is some of the most useful information I have read at any price, and I sincerely appreciate that seasoned Warriors such as yourself take the time to help out those that are just starting out.

I really mean that, people like yourself keep make this forum awesome, and I'm sure there are other less than vocal than me that are equally grateful.

Any doubters out there, do yourself a favour and read this info.

    Thanks again Ken

    Ken,

For what it's worth (and I could be wrong here)... I think Mal was being sarcastic.

As in he thinks it's a great book...and is saying what he thinks others might say in a "tongue in cheek" way.

I'll admit that I his sense of humor is... interesting... but I think he was basically saying you did a good thing, here.

But yeah... that's an amazing book.

And Paul's newsletter is the one of the only ones I'm on... and have been for about five years now.

Highly recommended in and of itself.

Paul M is one of only 3 IM'ers that I follow. I follow because he is a top notch marketer that provides valuable insights and information time after time without fail.

He is a generous person, and the book is one that I read before, but am re-reading it again just because I remember how it good it was and its been awhile, a refresher is always good.

Opt it, opt out, whatever. I know its friggin hard to click on the damn "unsubscribe" link in an email, but to be honest, you would be doing yourself a favor by not unsubscribing and read his emails, as some may learn a thing or two about how to build a relationship with a list.

I will never quit until I have the success I desire, but I have been getting frustrated lately because I don't feel I've been getting the results my efforts deserve. Subscribed and downloaded the Ebook, I've heard good things about it(and Paul Myers in general) so I'm sure it's going to be a great read I'll come back with a review when I've read it.

            Liam,

I understand. It's ok to feel frustrated, but perhaps only allow your self
a few minutes to feel that way, if possible.

It's good to think about where you may have been lacking in your efforts.
Good to think about why you have not achieved the results you wanted.

You may want to think about who/what determines the value of your
efforts. On the one hand, we determine the value because we control
what goes into our efforts. But there are other factors that determine
the accuracy, or effectiveness, of what we put into those efforts.

The other part of the equation concerns the resultant. Our efforts are
judged by the market forces. So in a very real sense, these forces
determine what is "deserved," or not.

Still though, it's much like an interesting puzzle.

I believe there are clues given to you the value of which only you can
determine. That is your opportunity to adjust your efforts and see what
            the forces think.

More importantly, and accurately - see "how the forces feel."

In marketing, advertising... in business, feelings are more important
than rational thought regarding your particular market.

I opted in and downloaded because
it's good stuff. I printed it out so I
could get my trusty hi-lighter out and
mark those things that really jumped
              out at me.

Thanks Ken, I am enjoying this...

                Ken,

Thanks. I'm glad you found the book useful.

                Mike,
Is doing opt in offers allowed in this section?
Posting your own, or getting someone else to post them for you, is not. I didn't know about this thread until about 10 minutes ago. I wondered where the bump in subscribers over the weekend came from, though.

It's not uncommon for people to recommend resources, or even lists, that they find personally useful. The problem is not uncompensated referrals, it's people using the forum to advertise. I avoid that, as evidenced by my not responding to a few posts in the "Who?" thread.

                Mal,

Have I told you today that you're a smartass?

                In general...

As far as the book not being anything earth-shattering - That's absolutely true. It's mostly stuff that you need to know that doesn't get talked about a lot. Not that it's "hidden" or "secret." Just that the people who already know it see it as being assumed, and think that it's obvious. It's not.

And there are things in it that you won't find on a lot of marketing sites at all. But then, I didn't write it to sell stuff, as you can see from the lack of pitching in the manual. I wrote it as a Christmas present for my subscribers last year.

As far as the "price" of opting in, that's been answered: Get it and unsubscribe, if you want. Or not. Doesn't matter to me either way, as long as you read the bloody thing.

I read the first half of it last night, and it has definitely made a difference to my whole approach and mindset. I was surprised to learn that I'm actually doing quite a few things right, especially in terms of the first part of the book where it encourages you to identify the specific things you want and the specific changes you want to make in your life. Leveraging is something I really need to work on though - I've improved on that area recently but know I have to step it up to reach my goals. Today for example, after reading that part of the book last night, I took a new approach to a software tool(a fellow Warrior's tool actually) I bought and have had for 3 months. After I purchased it, I just did the bare minimum, left it on auto pilot and forgot about it.

Today I came back to that tool and spent hours learning how to use it most effectively - I put it into action and I'm now expecting the results to be much more powerful than they were before I need to put more into leveraging my abilities too, which is another thing this book reinforced. I love the no BS approach Paul has throughout, particularly with the psychological aspects of IM. It puts things in perspective and makes things clearer. I'm only halfway through it, if the second half is as good as the first half I give it 11/10 Free too, newbies - it's a goldmine of information that can help you get to where you want to be if you apply the things you learn. I know I'm going to Thanks for the recommendation Ken, and thanks Paul for a great book.
