Has anyone ever wrote for them? If so, what kind of articles do they pay for upfront? Can it be any topic? What is the pay rate?

I wrote 25 for them last month. Earned between $3.50 and $4.00 each for 10 of them. The other 15 were too general (they didn't want to pay) I just sent them over to EZA.
Once you see which ones they are looking for, it is a nice guaranteed paycheck but not very much money. They pay fast though. |

yeah I'm just looking for some guaranteed income to go with my other ventures at this point.
Is there anything else out there where I can build guaranteed income. I'm trying to build multiple income streams. It doesn't have to be writing. |

I wouldn't really consider Associated Content as a supplier of a "guaranteed income" - though you can make some money with their performance bonus if your articles receive traffic.
Hit up their forums and you'll usually see somebody griping about the review timeframes - when I've submitted articles there the wait times have been about a week, but I've only submitted 2 articles to them in the past year. The pay isn't great - but I was only declined for up-front payment once and the offers ranged from $3.50 - $10, averaging around $6 each back when I was submitting on a semi-regular basis. I still get piddly PV payments every few months, but according to Luke Beatty, (AC founder), content producers make "hundreds or thousands per month". The real money with AC, though, has to come through the performance bonus, not up-front payments... you won't likely get ahead working for $4-$10 per hour or whatever it works out to for you to write, proofread and submit an article to AC. |
