Should I buy all three TLD's

I was just wondering what everyone's view was on buying domains. I just purchased a very nice .com that I want to use and brand as my company the .net and .org are also available. Should I also scope them up too?

If you feel I should, for want reasons?

      It's just commonsense, register

What about the others such as .info .biz and all the rest?

I'm with Mark on this one. In fact I have several where I think the potential is great enough I have even bought the hyphenated domian names.

Btw, the keyword rich links in your sig are dead...

  • If you are branding I would say yes. I would ignore the hyphenated versions. As cheap as domains are it's a good way to keep competitors from leeching your brand.

If it's a great domain and going to be a significant site for me, I buy the .com, .net, .org and .info. That keeps the scavengers away pretty well.

What you do is if you have the .com already. Goto godaddy and buy the .info for less that a $1. When you do a checkout you will be offered most the other domain for less than $20.

After the first year you will know where you stand and if it is not worth it dump the other domains.

But then what is $50 to spend on domains if a product is worth it.
