Default Looking for General MLM Advise

I recently joined an MLM business and I was wondering if anyone had any advise on how to conduct my part of the business successfully.

The product is rock solid and the payouts are simple. I've built a website for the product and expect it will convert well, but getting people interested in joining my downline maybe more difficult.

Note: If you haven't figured it out, you don't have to be a member of the MLM to use/purchase the product.

If anyone could provide any resources, tips, or advise about MLMS and how to succeed in an MLM environment let me know!

Hi Joshusa,

My best advice for you, if you are new to MLM, is to get a coach that will teach you how to close people. Sounds like you have the rest in place. I know a good coach. His name is Jeffery Combs and I can give you his number if you are interested.

Hi Joshua,

To be sure, if you're trying to build your downline, then your goal is to generate leads made up of people who are looking for business opportunities, to work at home, etc.

Once you've gathered your leads, then you'd follow up with them and sell them on your biz opp. This is how you should do it as opposed to trying to convince friends and family to sign up for what they might think is a "pyramid scheme".

Gathering a list of well-qualified leads who have shown an interest in MLM is how you'll become successful in building your downline.

Hope this helps.

- Jay

I like your advice Jay. I have a question about talking the leads. I am new to the MLM business, The Trump Network. How much info do you give them. Do you recomend calling or just emailing. What is the best way.

JoshuaG:

I'm looking at your MLM in question, and I have a very serious question for you.

Can your MLM company provide an EPA mileage and emissions test backing the claims for their product?

If they can, post the links to the test, and I'll be your first customer.

Seriously, unless they can provide that test, you are best off running away as fast as you can because the MLM in question is illegal.

Hey Floyd.
The product certainly is EPA Approved and I'd love to work with you.

Also, thank you all so far for the information so far.
If anyone has anything else to add I'm all ears!

The fastest way to build a business is to get on the phone and call people. I know many claim that they sign people on auto pilot, through my experience, you have to get on the phone. This business is about building relationships. Don't get me wrong.... you can sign up people through e-mail marketing but if you are to build a strong team/downline, you have to get on the phone.

The other question is , how much info do you give them? Well, it depends on how much they want from you. This is the problem we have in our industry, we go pitching our opportunities, how great they are etc before even qualifying our leads.

Here is what I think should be done( this is what I always do..). Pick up a phone and give them an initial call. This is to gather information not to give it... make it short, about 5-7 minutes.. Ask questions...like, why do they want to start a business, why is it important for them, how much time do they have, how committed are they etc.... tell your clients that you are going to analyze their needs and see if what you have is a good fit for them. Set up a time where you will give the info they need depending on what they asked for.

More tips on how to close leads can be found here: Converting work from home leads into $$$$$ with integrity

Your initial call will actually tell you if you need to set up time with them or if they are not a perfect fit. Some leads are actually just there to waste your time.

This is what we call the consultative approach. It takes pressure from you and shows your clients that you are actually there to help them, not to just make a quick buck. You can get in touch with your up line or find a team network with. It is definitely not a very good idea to build this business alone. You need a mentor.
Hope that helps
Annette
