Default Quick Social Bookmarking Question

Ok, I've a new site that I'm just a couple days away from launching, and have already started things in motion to drive traffic to it.

I've submitted 10 articles to some 13-14 different articles sites, and am waiting on them to be published. (Have another 9 thus far, with probably another 8-10 after that.) I also have ~10 articles already published on my site (better, more complete and thorough versions of what I submitted to the directories).

I plan on submitting the articles published to EZA (would the other ones be a good idea, too?) and the ones on my site to various social directories for the purpose of backlinks.

B/c I know nothing about social bookmarking, I simply googled 'top social bookmarking sites' and came across socialmarker.com - a site that will seemingly ping nearly 50 social bookmarking sites. I didn't see stumbleupon on their list, but pretty much all the other 'big dogs' are on it. The service is free.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't use this? I mean, is it just this simple (as it seems like there should be more to it than that)?

Or am I missing something?

I've used SocialMarker and got decent results with it.

I think more people maybe dont discuss it because they're using expensive 'all in one type' paid for tools like SE Nuke.

I've tried onlywire and was banned from it within one week, so.. *shrug.

Happy with SocialMarker.

It's all in how you use the tool. If you leave a footprint you can be doing yourself a disservice. Maybe you might want to load up IE and Firefox. Use IE to house all your toolbars and bookmarks. Use Firefox for your marketing and plugins.

I choose to go the quality route I use the same bookmarking services one at a time. It's really about getting as many quality high ranking links as possible. I can tell you I know people using Bookmarking Deamon with 1,000's of links and a volume approach and are not getting much traffic as a result. It's all in knowing how to leverage the tool.

I used to use social marker, but since the majority of the bookmarking sites adopted no follow i have just focussed on the 'big guns' and built a network there. Mainly Digg, SU, delicious and propeller. [Till I got banned from propeller, hmmm ]

Install Onlywire. Once you signup to the bookmarking sites they link to and install the button on your pages or if you are using Wordpress, install their plugin. Simply click the button and it will bookmark your page on all the sites.

InternetMarketingIQ - not to sound stupid, but I have no idea what you're talking about re 'leaving a footprint'. Why would submitting individually to the social bookmarking services work 'better' than using something like socialmarker?

Niche - I've wondered about that myself - esp as it relates to articles sites. I spent a good 3.5 hours submitting to a number of articles directories yesterday, and couldn't help but wonder if I was wasting my time submitting to all these sites (I'm doing it mainly for backlinks and SEO - I plan on working an angle later on with some affiliate marketing where I try to get the articles themselves ranked - then I'm going to be using only EZA).

Am I better off - with social bookmarking and article marketing - just going with a few 'big guns' (as you put it) and not worrying about all these other sites?
