I bet he builds quite a good list from that.

I used to know a photographer who put a promotional video of himself on his website. It was the first person I ever knew to do their own video. He was a young guy, who came across as shy and nervous in front of the camera. It was full of umms and errs. But people loved it because it showed that he was human, it generated loads of business for him.

I wouldn't recommend that approach for everyone, especially now when videos are more prolific, but it worked at the time.

I give Charles props for getting something out there. He probably knows his audience and they will probably respond well to this type of video.

This does bring up a questions I have been pondering. What works better?

A flip cam video of a persons face, obviously not done by a professional, that shows a real person that you can relate to, or a well written scripts read by a professional voice accompanied by pleasing or complimentary imagery and music?

Have video questions? I'm happy to help. I've been producing videos for 12 years and love to share what I've learned.
