I don't think there's a BEST affiliate program.

Try different things and see what works for you.

I teach my course with the Amazon affiliate program. It's an easy place to start - lots of products and good conversion rate to sales.

However, it doesn't pay very much. So as soon as people get sales from Amazon I recommend they try other things - Commission Junction, Clickbank, CPA, etc.

I would recommend Clickbank as the best starting point for newbies. Here's why:

- easy to join. Get your account in minutes and you're ready to go.
- heaps of products
- hefty commissions
- a lot of products have excellent affiliate support tools and free training
- no restrictions on how to promote (as long as you don't do anything illegal or considered bad taste)

I have no opinion on this myself since I am a newbie. I have purchased two programs in the last couple of weeks about affiliate marketing. My question is how do I promote the products on clickbank and paydot.com for example? I have an account with both of them. One of the things I have read from this one course is to join free blogging sites like hubpages, squidoo, and blogger to start generationg free traffic for yourself. I did my first blog last night on blogger which was my review of program I am currently learning from. I preferr not to say what it is, but you can go to my blog on blogger. My blog name address is tonydeeds.blogspot.com Put this in the main tool at the very top of your page. This was my first blog I have done.

There's no "best" one out there. My advice would be to find a particular niche, or site that really appeals to you in some way. That way you'll probably already have some knowledge about it and be very excited to promote it, thus making you more money in the long run. This is vital information that I wish I was told in the early days of my internet marketing business.

I think some of the best programs for newbies include Bullet Cash Method and Plug In Profit System.

Just my 2 cents though...

Like the earlier posters said there is no "best" affiliate marketing program. If you can find one in a niche you like or one around your passion, then you'll enjoy promoting that product. Another important thing to remember is that it takes the same amount of time to promote a $27 eBook as it does to promote a $300 online casino affiliate program. So pay attention to the commission amount you get for what you promote. You should also try and find continuity programs where you can get a recurring payment, so that each new customer you get will pay you for months.

Do not be afraid to think outside the box and type in '[niche] affiliate program" in Google, you don't always have to use the networks, some businesses manage their own affiliate programs and have much better payouts than Clickbank.

One more thing, try to not get caught up pitching "make money online", "insurance", and "weight loss" type products initially. The reason being is that these are the most competitive markets and you'll want to cut your teeth in niches that are less competitive.

Choose a product related to a niche you are comfortable writing about. And if possible choose one on a reliable network that you can trust.

Someone mentioned Amazon, which is a good start as they have 100's of products and are of course reliable. Sure you will find something on there you can promote, but you need to sell $100000s of products to make $1000s of course! Very low commission rates on Amazon because (a) they are physical products (b) they sell on low margins and (c) Amazon is famous so they can get away with paying small commission.

Clickbank.com is another reliable network, which has a lot of products for sale on it and you can browse their MarketPlace to choose one that best suits. I recommend to choose one that doesn't look to scammy, and doesn't use opt-in mailing lists when you visit the page (whereby you may lose the affiliate connection between the visitor and you because they can market to that customer outside of the site).

If you promote on Clickbank be prepared to have to make a lot of sales before you get paid as they have a "Customer Distribution Requirement" that means they need so many different unique credit cards, excluding paypal payments. You money can still be held due to CDR even if you have hundreds of dollars of commissions. Not a absolute problem but be aware of it and get used to it before you join clickbank.

Or search in Google - '[niche] affiliate program" in Google has been mentioned, then if you are not sure about the affiliate programme, run it by the Warrior forum for advice and other people's experience.

Good luck!
