My private message box has also disappeared.

Has there been an announcement I've missed? I've received no emails about this. The PM box was there earlier today.

Ok, there is option to email - which you should just turn that on so people can email you. Also, I was able to just leave a user note for communication.

Not as private, but don't think you have no way to communicate if needed.

No. Might be a temporary shut down because of a spammer. I'm waiting on approval for a classified myself. A kind of test for a service before my launch so I'm in the same shoes with you.

For hire section I see several non War room members running them - Not WSOs of course which is about right since its MUCH less traffic and you might as well run an WSO (but mine is a limited time test offer before I do that and I was advised to do a small test offer there first on the service part)

  The existing messages can be accessed through the Cpanel, which also shows: "You have ... messages stored, of a total 0 allowed."
  
  It looks as though the facility has been removed for non War Room members. Previously we were allowed 10 messages.

  I tend to not think so. Looks like a glitch. Wouldn't make sense. It would affect any War room member doing a WSO. No room for inquiries from buyers who aren't members. In fact it would affect anyone that gets any business from newbies or non members on Warriors.

The reason is that you are not a war room member and without that you are only limited to i think 5 or 10 pm max.

Yeah same thing with me and I have an order in I was waiting for approval on in the classified sections. I've been holding off from joining the war room until later this week when my product launch is done.

I'm addictive in nature to research and from my understanding the war room would be a huge distraction with everything there is to explore so didn't want to join until this launch was out the door.

Well relief anyway. For a moment there I was wondering what I coudl have been banned for

P.S. I did get a pm from a spammer a few hours ago so maybe they are tweaking something there.

I also received a PM from a spammer today - someone with zero posts who (ironically) sent me a link so I could learn how to profit from forums! When I tried to report it as SPAM I got a database error. Perhaps he/she overloaded the system?

If limiting PM's to War Room members is a measure to eliminate spammers then I wholeheartedly approve. Anyone serious enough to use this forum to advance their IM business should have no problem paying the low one-time cost to join the War Room - you'd probably spend more than that on a WSO that offers less value than the exclusive content in the War Room. Spammers probably wouldn't pay, they'd just go to one of those other IM forums that we won't mention here.

Considering what a wonderful resource this forum is the cost of a War Room membership is a genuine bargain. And if you don't agree...well just PM me and let me know!

  Ding! Ding! Ding! Thats the winner. Same PM I got. Hey if its permanent I'm cool. Agree with eveything you said IF you are into IM. I'm sold so much on the value I don't even want to go in there until I get my other things done. I'm an idea guy and I can start spinning off things off of one sentence and get distracted.
  
  Since I kind of lap over into SEO I can tell you though there are enough people that come through here that are not into IM and won't become members. They come here to find a copywriter, backlinks, content writers etc.

It would affect any War room member doing a WSO. No room for inquiries from buyers who aren't members. In fact it would affect anyone that gets any business from newbies or non members on Warriors.

Why would it? Inquiries can be posted within the thread, posted on the profile page or sent to you by email. It has long been a recommendation (if not a rule) to include another way to contact you besides PM within a WSO anyway.

People routinely have questions especially in regard to services that they do not feel comfortable in sharing publicly. Theres a whole host of situations where thats the case.

People who want to hire copywriters and need to have a back and forth
Someone who has an application they want to program and has detailed and numerous questions.

A particular use for a product or service that for competitive reasons they don't want to share with anyone but the seller. the list goes on and on.

Now of course I guess you could say well Email them then you have to put your email out in the open for spammers because theres no way to send it privately to the person who wants it

and besides its way too unnatural for people accustomed to online forums. I couldn't think of another forum that operates that way. Might as well cripple the friendship feature too if you aren't a war room member. Whats the point of allowing friends who can't PM each other.

You might not see it but guaranteed it would affect War room members too. I mean as soon as I am ready I'll roll with whatever but I'd expect a reduction in sales in an WSO. As a prospective customer I wouldn't want to have to jump through hoops just to ask a private question that I am accustomed to doing on any other forum on the Internet.

As for profile page posting. Maybe I am not understanding you. Do you really want to encourage that and spammers to your profile page?

Will be interesting to see if it's true that you cannot have PMs unless you are a War Room member. Would not affect me, but I can see how it would be annoying. 10 was the new limit if you were not a paying member, and that is one of the reasons I decided to pay the paltry $37 to become a paying member. Some good stuff in the War Room anyway, and you can get stuff that if sold as WSOs would cost way more money in the long run. If you can afford it, just join the War Room!

Floyd Thats been there for weeks. We all read it. It doesn't say anything about needing to be a member to send Pms. It only says there would be limits (and there were - 10 posts in storage). So no that doesn't say that.

Are you serious about the notice? I don't see one at the top of the forum. And I haven't seen any for a while. I was seeing them up until that first announcement he posted regarding the change from free to paid forum but none since.

As I suspected. Only temporary. PMs are back. Complety understood. Seems like that spammer was a pain. Now on with my plans and being a War room member in a few days or less!
